I just kneeled there miserable and hopeless for who knows how long. Then suddenly, I felt someone place their hand on my shoulder, "Dad, what's wrong?"
I got surprised and immediately looked up, there I saw Skye, animate and living, back to her real self.
I smiled in happiness and relief. "Skye?!" I quickly got back up and threw my arms around her. She hugged back. I was happy that she was alive, and relieved that I wouldn't be lonely for the rest of my days after all.
I stopped hugging her and looked at her. "You're alive!" I exclaimed.
"Yeah, I guess I am!" She said.
"How did you unfreeze though?" I then asked.
"I have no idea. I guess we might not know anytime soon."
"Yeah."
I looked to my left and saw Maya still laying there. I felt a little awkward at that moment.
So then we just stood there not knowing what to do next. After all, all the people hunting for us disappeared and Maya was still laying there not making a single move.
"Well, what do we do now Dad?" Skye asked.
"Well, I guess we can just keep running and wait until the gods fix all the drama. Good thing it'll be easier now now that no one's chasing us anymore." I finally said.
She looked at me, then formed a small smile, "Okay then."
After that suddenly Dionysus appeared. I was kind of surprise dot see him at that moment.
"My friends, I have great news!"
"Wha? Wh-what is it?" I asked a little confused.
"The other gods as well as I were finally able to fix all the damage! Everything is back to normal!"
"Wow! that's great!" Skye exclaimed.
"Phew, thank goodness..." I said.
"Well, almost everything. All that's left now is to erase everyone's memory of this tragedy." Dionysus said.
The other gods then showed up and joined together. They formed a giant light, then, they finally made a big gesture all at once, and the bright light intensified, blinding us. After that short second, the light disappeared and we could see again.
"There, now everyone that saw you and witnessed what you did has had their memory of that event erased. Now things are 100% back to normal." Dionysus finally said.
"Phew! Good thing things didn't turned out the way I hopelessly expected them." I said.
"Yay! Now things are back to normal!" Skye said.
"So, shall we head home now?" Dionysus said.
Skye and I both nodded, then we got our stuff and headed back home, relieved that thing were finally back to normal again.
