Yeji and Namjoon have always been the creative minds of the group. The other members have said that these two are more often then not in the studio, producing songs left and right. Their love for music is shared.
Yeji has stated that she envies how calm Namjoon is all the time, and says that if she could ever take one of his traits, it'd be his calmness. As for Joon, he says that he'd take Yejis ability to make anything positive. The life of the party and the breath of fresh air come together to make Yejoon.
"Joon is the best leader that anyone could've asked for," Yeji stated in a 2019 interview. "He's really, really sweet. When I first joined Bangtan, it was hard, because I didn't seem to fit in. No matter what, Namjoon was always there to include me in things.
For my first birthday in BTS, I was turning sixteen. I remember on that day, he let me come into his producing room for the first time. We started talking a lot, and before I knew it, we had written the lyrics for Spinebreaker. That was the first song I ever wrote, and truly, it was the best time of my life."
