Sadie Parker, the daughter of Spider-woman. She was born with all the same powers at her dad and ever since she was little, becoming Spider-woman was the only thing she looked forward to. The second Sadie turned 13 her dad immediately started training her so that she could one day take over the role.
After three years of training, the day finally came. Now here Sadie was, standing in her dads lab. Her dad was standing in front of her with the famous red and blue suit in his hands.
"Now remember, Sadie. With great power..." Peter, her dad, started.
"Comes great responsibility." Sadie finished.
Peter proudly smiled at his daughter as he held out the folded suit. "I think you're finally ready Sadie."
Sadie smiled as she took the suit from him. She admired it before letting out a small squeal and running out of the lab. She ran back up into her bedroom and changed out of all her clothes. She put her new suit on and ran out onto her balcony, jumping off.
"Woohoo!" Sadie cheered as she swung into the city.
The next day in school, during lunch, Sadie was sitting down at her lunch table when her best friend, Millie, walked up to her. She set down her lunch tray and sat down next to Sadie.
"So is it true? Did your dad finally retire?" Millie asked.
"Yup. You are looking at the new superhero of New York." Sadie smiled.
Millie has been Sadie's best friend ever since the two of them were five. They did everything together and she was the only one who knew about Sadie and her dad's superpowers, besides Sadie's mom of course.
"This is so exciting! My best friends a superhero." Millie beamed.
"Okay." Sadie chuckled. "Keep your voice down. I don't need my identity being revealed on my first day."
Millie let out another quiet squeal. Sadie playfully rolled her eyes as she dipped her fry in ketchup and ate it.
"Lookout, here come the rebels." Millie quietly said.
Sadie looked up from her food at the cafeteria doors and watched the school troublemakers walk in. The four of them all walking in a line to their lunch table.
On the far right was Anthony Lennon. He was the player of the group, known for getting with every girl he laid eyes on. He was the last to join the group when he moved to Queens in seventh grade.
Right next to him was Abigail McKenna. She was the brains of their group, coming up with every mischievous plan the group did. She was the second to join the group in sixth grade.
All the way on the far left was Liam Sullivan. He was the toughest and strongest one in their group, which was one of the reasons why no one messed with them. He joined the group after he saved Abigail from the school security.
And finally, in between Abigail and Anthony was Violet Hart, aka the queen bee, the most popular and prettiest girl in school. But more importantly she was Sadie's crush.
Sadie has had a crush on Violet ever since middle school. They've lived across the street from each other their whole lives and their parents were pretty good friends, although Violet acted like Sadie didn't exist.
You might be wondering, how did Sadie Parker, one of the smartest kids in the grade and the daughter of a superhero, fall for Violet Hart, the schools biggest trouble maker. To be honest, not even Sadie knew the answer to that question. I guess you could say Sadie is into bad girls. Ironic, huh?
Sadie placed her arm on the table, resting her head in the palm of her hand as she watched Violet and her friends walk by their table.
Violet was wearing a black leather jacket with a white tube top underneath. She was wearing some ripped jeans with black hightop converse, her long, wavy brown hair resting over her shoulders.
Violet, Abigail, Anthony, and Liam sat down at their lunch table, which was a few tables down from Sadie and Millie's. Abigail and Violet sat across from each other. Anthony sat down on the table, his feet resting on the bench. Liam sat down next to Abigail as he drank his daily protein shake.
"You guys hear that Spiderman finally retired?" Liam told the group.
"Really?" Abigail asked and Liam let out a hum. "Who's taking over?"
"His daughter." Liam answered.
"So Spiderman is now Spiderwoman?" Anthony asked.
"Yup." Liam nodded.
"Is she as good as her dad?" Violet asked.
Liam shrugged. "Not sure."
"How do you know about this?" Abigail asked him.
"You guys are full of questions today aren't you?" Liam harshly asked them.
"Whatever." Anthony rolled his eyes. "You guys wanna meet in the city tonight?"
"Why?" Violet asked.
Anthony looked around before he placed his backpack on the table, showing them all the few spray paint cans he had in there. "I found these in my garage. Figured we could put them to good use."
The other three thought about it before agreeing.
Meanwhile, back at Sadie and Millie's lunch table, Sadie was still staring at Violet. Millie was telling her a story but obviously Sadie was listening.
"Are you listening?" Millie asked.
"Yes." Sadie answered, not taking her eyes off of Violet.
"Okay, so you're gonna come over after school and help me wax my vagina?"
"What?" Sadie exclaimed as she quickly turned her head to look at Millie.
"See I knew you weren't listening." Millie rolled her eyes. "You're too busy staring at Violet."
"I was not staring." Sadie responded.
"Really?" Millie reached forward to wipe some drool off of Sadies chin. "You're drooling."
Sadie pulled her head back and shoved Millie's hand away. "Stop it."
"Look, Sadie, you're a superhero." Millie whispered. "Superheros don't go for bad girls."
"How do you know? The only superheros in this world are me and my dad." Sadie retorted. "And besides, look at her."
Sadie and Millie both looked over at Violet. They watched as Violet stuck out her foot and tripped Juan, the president of the science club. The lunchroom erupted into laughter as Juan fell to the floor, his face smashing into his mac and cheese. Violet smirked as she looked back at her friends.
"Yeah, she's a real peach." Millie sarcastically said.
