Later that night, Sadie was out doing a nightly patrol. She had stopped a few crimes and was now looking for more. She had her suit on and was using her webs to swing from building to building as she hummed the tune of the Spiderman theme song.
"Spiderman, Spiderman. Friendly neighborhood Spiderman. Wealth and fame-"
Sadie cut off her singing and landed on the roof of a building as she heard a loud bang from below her. She peered over the edge of the building to see four people wearing masks and spray painting the side of the building. They looked around Sadie's age.
"Dude!" One of the guys whisper yelled. "Shut the hell up!"
"It wasn't me!" Another guy whisper yelled back.
Sadie quickly descended down from the building, landing behind the four teenagers. She crossed her arms and watched the two boys bicker.
"Both of you shut the hell up! We don't have all night to finish this." One of the girls scolded.
Sadie cleared her throat and the four of them turned around with surprised looks on their faces. "Nice mural. Was it painted by you four or a six year old?"
"Shit, Spiderwoman! Scatter!" The other girl yelled.
The four teenagers split up, all going in different direction. One of the girls and one of the guys went right, the other guy went left, and the other girl ran straight and bumped Sadie's shoulder.
"Hey!" Sadie yelled as she ran after the girl who bumped her shoulder.
Sadie chased the girl through a few alleys. The girl looked back at Sadie before she ran faster. Sadie used her speed to catch up to the girl. She grabbed her on the shoulder, turning her around as she pulled off the girls hood and mask.
"Violet?" Sadie asked.
Violet yanked her arm out of Sadie's glove covered hand. "How do you know my name?"
"Uh..." Sadie cleared her throat and tried to disguise her voice. "I- I'm a superhero. I know everyones name."
"Really?" Violet folded her arms. "You know every person in this cities name?" She skeptically asked.
"Yup." Sadie nodded. "What are you doing all alone in the city at night? It's not safe out here."
"What does it look like I'm doing?" Violet asked as she held up a spray paint bottle. "I'm giving this city some pzazz. It's all covered in trash."
"I think there is other ways to give this city pzazz without doing something illegal." Sadie told her.
"What are you gonna do? Turn me in?" Violet let out a scoff.
"I was going to, but a pretty girl like you doesn't belong in jail." Sadie gave her a small smirk even though Violet couldn't see her face.
"Don't you have other crimes to go fight?" Violet retorted, feeling a bit flustered.
Sadie lifted up her arm and shot a web to another building. "Stay out of trouble."
Sadie pulled herself up onto a building and Violet watched her silhouette swing away.
At lunch the next day, Sadie and Millie sat down at their lunch table. Sadie was telling Millie about how she found the rebels spray painting a building in the city.
"Did you catch them?" Millie asked.
"No. They all ran off into different directions." Sadie told her. "I ended up chasing Violet down an alley."
"Why didn't you take her in?" Millie asked.
"Because... if I took her to jail I wouldn't be able to see her everyday." Sadie sheepishly said with a light blush on her cheeks.
"Simp." Millie teased as she looked at the rebels table to see Abigail, Anthony, and Liam, but no Violet. "Where is Violet anyway?"
"She had to stay after class because she refused to wear safety goggles in chemistry." Sadie told her.
"Why? Did they not go with her outfit?" Millie joked.
"Yes, actually." Sadie nodded.
After a few minutes, Sadie watched Violet walk into the lunch room. Just as Violet walk past her and Millie's table, Sadie felt a tingle go up her spine. Sadie quickly stood up and caught Violet just as she slipped over some spilled chocolate milk. Sadie held out her hand and Violets lunch fell in her hand.
Violet looked at Sadie in thought as she helped her stand up. Sadie gave Violet a small smile before holding out Violets lunch for her to take.
"Uh, here." Sadie said.
Violet took her lunch from Sadie without breaking eye contact. "Nice reflexes."
"Thanks." Sadie blushed.
"Violet!"
Violet and Sadie both looked over to see Abigail, Anthony, and Liam looking at the two of them, Anthony waving Violet over. Violet looked back at Sadie before she went over to her table. Sadie watched Violet walk away before she sat back down next to Millie.
"Nice reflexes. Thanks." Millie mocked Sadie and Violet with a smirk.
"Shut up." Sadie told her.
Violet set down her lunch tray and sat down next to Anthony. She glanced over at Sadie before she started to eat her food.
"What was that?" Abigail asked.
"I don't know, but... it was kind of hot." Violet replied.
"How do you know Parker?" Liam asked.
"She lives across the street from me and our parents are pretty good friends." Violet answered before she quickly changed the subject. "Did you guys end up getting home okay?"
"Yeah. Did you?" Anthony asked.
"Well, Spiderwoman did catch me but she let me go." Violet told them.
Abigail furrowed her eyebrows. "Why?"
Violet shrugged. "She said a pretty girl like me doesn't belong in jail."
"Sounds like spidey has a crush on you." Liam teased.
"Or she was just being nice. I've never even met her before last night." Violet told them.
"But you can't deny that all those superpowers make her seem so attractive." Anthony said.
"I won't deny it." Violet chuckled. "Plus that tight suit makes her body look so good and it outlines her muscles and abs so well."
Anthony, Abigail, and Liam looked at her like she was crazy.
"At least I think. I wasn't really paying attention." Violet looked back down at her food with a blush on her cheeks.
