Saturday night rolled around and Violet was working in the lemonade stand at the town fair. She could see her friends playing the balloon dart game which just made her more mad that she had to work. Worst part is, she isn't even getting paid.
"Have a nice night." Violet said with a bored look as she handed the lemonade to a customer.
The customer took the lemonade before walking away. The next customer walked up to the stand and Violet let out a sigh.
"What can I-" Violet cut herself off when she realized it was Sadie. "Oh, thank god you're here."
"Hey, Violet." Sadie smiled and looked at the line of people behind her. "You're working this thing all by yourself?"
Violet nodded. Sadie looked at Violet before she walked around to go behind the stand. Violet watched with a small smile as Sadie started to take orders.
"You don't have to do this." Violet said as Sadie started to make a strawberry lemonade.
"I told you I would keep you company so now here I am." Sadie told her.
"Thanks." Violet smiled.
The two worked the lemonade stand together for about ten minutes. The customer that Violet was helping walked away and her friends were next in line.
"Hey, guys. What can I get you?" Violet asked.
"Come hang out with us." Abigail told her.
"I can't. I have to work the stand." Violet told them.
"I can take care of the stand for a while." Sadie said as she walked over to Violet.
"Really?" Violet asked.
"Yeah. You go have fun." Sadie nodded.
Violet smiled and let out a small squeal. She gave Sadie a quick hug before running off with her friends. Sadie smiled as she watched her run away.
"What should we do first?" Anthony asked the group.
"Haunted house?" Liam suggested.
The girls agreed and the four of them made their way into the haunted house. The haunted house was a little bit of a buzzkill. They didn't get as scared as they thought they would.
"Well that was lame." Liam said.
"Yeah." Anthony agreed. "Let's go on the ferris wheel."
Abigail, Violet, Liam, and Anthony all walked over to the ferris wheel. They walked passed a circus tent and when Violet looked inside she could see a ring of fire and lion.
"Hopefully we get on soon. It looks like its about to rain." Abigail said as they got in line for the ferris wheel.
Violet looked up at the sky. "I'm sure we'll be fine."
After a few minutes they finally got in a cart. Anthony and Liam sat in the inside while Abigail and Violet sat by the door. The cart kept going up until they stopped at the top.
Right after they stopped, there was a loud crack of thunder. Violet jumped and grabbed onto the side of the cart.
"Jesus." Violet whispered.
Suddenly there was a loud roar and they all looked over to see the circus tent engulf in flames.
"Holy shit!" Liam yelled.
Tons of people quickly ran out of the tent, yelling and crying. Violet looked down to see the worker of the ferris wheel run away.
"Hey! Where are you going?! Let us down!" Violet yelled.
"Shit!" Abigail cursed.
"We're stuck up here!" Anthony stated the obvious.
There were sirens out in the distance of fire trucks coming to put out the fire. Violet rested her head against the seat, accepting her fate.
"Look, it's Spiderwoman!" Someone from the ground shouted.
Violet stood up and looked to her left to see Spiderwoman swinging to the fair. She landed down on the ground and ran into the fire. A bunch of fire trucks pulled up and a bunch of firefighters ran out of the trucks. Some of them got the hose on while others ran into the circus tent.
"Wow." Violet whispered as she watched Spiderwoman walk out the tent carrying a lion.
Suddenly, a large light pole fell onto the leg of the ferris wheel. The side of the ferris wheel that the rebels were on started to fall. Violet screamed as she lost her balance and fell out the cart.
"Violet!" Abigail yelled as she, Anthony, and Liam quickly looked over the edge.
Violet acted fast and grabbed onto one of the bars of the ferris wheel. She looked down at the ground, widening her eyes when she realized how high up she was. She was a solid 40 feet off the ground.
"Help!" Violet shouted.
Meanwhile Sadie had just ran out of the circus tent with another person in her arms. She handed the person off to EMT and she was about to go back in the tent before she heard yelling. Sadie looked up to see Violet hanging from the ferris wheel.
"Violet!" Sadie shouted.
Sadie quickly ran over to the ferris wheel. She shot a web over to the roller coaster and jumped up. As she was swinging to the ferris wheel Violet lost her grip and slipped, screaming as she fell.
Violet closed her eyes, waiting for the impact of the ground to hit her. Sadie had quickly swung over to her, catching Violet before she hit the ground.
Violet opened her eyes and looked at Spiderwoman. Spiderwoman looked at Violet as she landed back on the ground. She set Violet down and was about to swing away but Violet grabbed her bicep, slightly blushing at the feeling of her muscles.
"Wait." Violet said and Spiderwoman looked at her. "Who are you?"
Sadie looked down at Violets hand on her bicep before looking back in her eyes. "You know who I am."
"I do?" Violet smiled.
"I'm your friendly neighborhood Spiderwoman." She responded before swinging back to the circus tent.
"Violet!"
Violet turned around to see her mom, dad, and brother running over to her. A smile formed on her face as she ran to them.
"Mom, Dad!" She yelled, wrapping her arms around Camila.
"Are you okay, sweetheart?" Adam asked.
"Yeah." Violet whispered. "I'm okay now."
