I have bad and good news.

Now that I'm delving deeper into Lore, I just found out that indeed, the primarch did have a mother. Apparently, a perpetual named Erda, the second most powerful perpetual after the Emperor, gave half of her genes to the Primarch project.

Ups.

Then all the excitement that Tomoe was special for having a mother no longer had an effect.

And if you've never heard of Erda like me, don't worry, she was a super character capable of killing four demons at the same time who died in the same paragraph in which she appeared. Warhammer stuff XD.

The good news is that this discovery does not affect this fanfic, because although Erda could have been the mother of the primarch, Amar Astarte could have been Tomoe's biological mother, literally speaking. So this crazy idea, although it hangs by a thread, still has something to stand on. XD. Anyway. Let's continue with the story.

Lucius himself had to retreat when a burst of energy occurred right in front, with Kanan being the epicenter of it. Unable to understand why or what was happening, along with that strange look that the eyes loaded with warp energy gave him at the last moment gave the chaos marine a clue that something was approaching, and his quick instincts allowed him to back away before receive any damage.

However, those words from Kanan were not dedicated to him.

Kanan's mind was a complete chaos. Voices claimed his sanity and tempted him with irresistible promises of power and peace. He had been hearing them for a while, more precisely, ever since he decapitated the Emperor's Children's first chaos marine. Voices that saw their opportunity in the imminent betrayal of their Slannesh master, and now thought that their faltering loyalty could be claimed from the immaterium.

????: - So many paths. So many possibilities. You want it. You want to know the truth. You wish you knew what is to come. You are afraid of being stuck in the present. You long for change, and you know where you can find it. -

Slannesh: - You have ignored the voices. You know you're enjoying it. You know that you are feeling pleasure from your actions. You kill your opponent. Cut their devil flesh before the fury of your sword. You know how it feels... And you love it. -

Thousands of other voices echoed in his head, crushing the little sanity he still had, although four of them were the loudest. It was then that Kanan decided to lower his sword, knowing that he had to face the enemies of his mind before he could defeat his enemy in the physical world. When:
