After a while of discussion, we finally landed on a design. We didn't really have anything else to do, since most of my fabric swatches are back at home so I couldn't show him anything else. So after the most agonizingly awkward five minutes of my entire 25 years of life, I broke the ice, opening my mouth at last.
" So... uh... do you wanna go back to my place?"
That came out so wrong. Alexa, how do I disintegrate into dust right now?
"To finalize what fabric you need! I didn't bring all my fabric swatches here."
Yuzuru's face changed from obvious shock and confusion to a softened, more relaxed look. I should really think before I speak more often.
Now, at the same big glass doors at the lobby, we're watching buckets of rain pour from outside.
" Uh... I have an umbrella in my bag, but I think it's kinda small for the two of us," Yuzuru says, looking straight at me.
Do I or do I not accept the offer? Argh, I've watched too many dramas to make me think that this will end up like those super cheesy, super cliche moments where the couple share the umbrella and kiss under the rain or something. This is purely a friendly gesture, I'm sure of it.
