Back at Himari's place, I see her curled up on the sofa. Naturally, I go up to her and sit by her side, patting her shoulder.

  " Mari-chan? Is everything okay?"

" Go away," she dismissed, turning to the side.

" Just say what's bugging you, you know I'm not the type to judge you."

She's hurting. I can feel it. I know better than anyone else that she needs someone by her side right now.

" You're not telling me things anymore. We used to tell each other everything." I can hear her sniffles, but I let her continue.

" I hate when you drift away from me. I hate... I hate not having you around, Su-chan. You don't even check up on me like you used to, do you even know what happened between me and Mai?" She says it all in one breath, in a shaky tone.

"What? You know I'm always here- Wait... Mai? What happened? Is everything okay between you two?"

She scoffs. "Forget it. Just get out of here."

I don't spare her any more sympathy or pitying looks, I get up, collect all my stuff and leave. When have I ever been distant? If she would only talk to me then we could work this out.

I spend the bus ride home watching the traffic from the window, listening to sad 90's songs to try to suppress my pain. Himari and I had our fair share of these cold wars before, and I know it's just her emotions talking, but it really hurts.

My ever-so-depressing thoughts get interrupted by my phone buzzing. I flip it up, seeing a text from an unknown number... could it be?

Unknown Number: hi! Yuzuru here, the team dinner is gonna be this friday @ 6:30pm in my house, hope to see you there!

Oh my gosh. This is really happening, not that I thought he was joking or anything, but the team dinner is actually happening.
