*Suzuka's POV*
In the comfort of my warm room and my 16 year old teddy bear, I stared at my blank phone, not playing any games, not doom scrolling through tiktok, nothing. Maybe I'll call Himari and see how she's doing... Before I could remember we were in the " no talking period" Himari picked up.
"Suzuka?"
"Mari, hi."
"Why'd you call me for?"
"Uh..." Yeah, why did I call her for? " Remember that team dinner with Hanyu-san?"
"Yeah."
"I got drunk and passed out at his place and slept there."
A soft gasp. Then a pause.
"I'm gonna come over... is that okay?"
It's great to hear that Himari wants to come over, even though she's being more conscientious and asking me for permission.
" Yeah, you're always welcome here."
" Thanks, Su-chan, be there in 5."
*Himari's POV*
Ugh, I shouldn't be acting like a total jerk and giving Suzuka the silent treatment, I'm so glad she's giving me a second chance.
My mission for today: I'm gonna make use of this opportunity and spend time with her so we don't get into an even bigger fight.
I tried to act more polite and rang her doorbell instead of barging into her apartment like I usually do. She opens the door and greets me with a smile, but we keep our distance.
" Su-chan, I'm sorry, I-"
I try to apologise but she cuts me off, pulling me into a tight hug.
"Save your apology, yeah I was hurt but you being here is more than enough for me."
Gosh, I'm so lucky that Suzuka is so understanding.
We lie down on her big bed, the only place in her apartment that doesn't have scraps of fabric or sketches laying around. I want to ask her about the whole staying-over-at-Yuzuru's-place situation but she looks like she's overflowing with questions for me so I let her go first.
" So... what happened with you and Mai?"
Right. I forgot that I accidentally blurted that out the other day.
"We uh... broke up." I try to answer as short as possible, not wanting to think about that anymore.
I see the obvious shock on Suzuka's face but she knows I don't want to delve deeper into that.
" What about you?" I try to change the topic " The whole Yuzuru thing?"
She walks me through the whole thing, from the "elevator incident" to when he last texted her.
After she finishes, I just layed there, processing the whole thing.
" But you guys are just friends?"
" Not friends, at least I don't think so, we're just business partners... I guess."
