Slip-Up

No One's POV:

It is a seemingly normal day in the Man's Nest. Ray, Mika and Miles were on the Man's Nest couch playing whatever kind of game on their phones. Chapa and Bose were building a new device for Schwoz because he had sprained his wrist and couldn't do it himself. They had all the parts in front of them, and all they had to do was put them together. Chapa was reading the blueprints to Bose as he assembling the pieces. So far, it was pretty easy for them, and soon, they get it done. They call out Schwoz to let them know that they finished. Schwoz comes in to see.

Schwoz: "Perfect, it is finished."

Bose: "What even is it?"

Chapa: "Well, it is a blaster, but I'm not sure exactly what it's used for."

Schwoz: "This is a recreation of the invisi-blaster."

Chapa: "The one Ray told us about that turned his friend invisible?"

Schwoz: "The same, I figured one of us could use it on a mission to trick a bad guy, though we could make any object disappear with it, too."

Bose: "That could definitely work. They will never know what hit them...literally."

Chapa: "Is there a reverse option on the blaster from when we're done?"

Schwoz: "I made sure to add that feature to the blueprint. I know it might've been a little hard to tell that it was on there."

Bose: "Can I try it out?"

Schwoz: "Hmm, I suppose so, but it will be a practice run. Next time, you will be using it for real."

Bose's POV:

I carefully examined the invisi-blaster, made sure everything looked right, and I readied myself to try it out.

Me: "Wait, who should I try it out on?"

Schwoz: "Hmm, I've got it. Try it on the Man's Nest lifting door."

Me: "Got it, everyone prepare yourselves."

Everyone around me watches as I prepare to use the blaster, but I suddenly see that bee had gotten into the Man's Nest, and I don't know about you, but I hate bees, so I forget all about what I'm actually using the blaster, and I use it to swat the bee away.

Everyone was warning me to be careful with the blaster, but I ended up getting a little too carried away, and I accidentally drop the blaster, which breaks at sudden impact. I had realized what just happened, and I regretted it immediately.

Chapa: "Really, dude?! Are you serious?!"

Me: "I'm sorry, I got a little distracted."

Chapa: "'A LITTLE distracted?!' This happens EVERY TIME you try to handle things! Didn't it ever occur to you that you at least should try and be a little smarter for once?!"

I couldn't think of what to say.

Chapa: "Oh, what? You got nothing to say now, huh?! You know what?! Why don't you just leave before you can possibly make things worse?!"

Is she serious right now?

Chapa: "Go on, beat it!"

I didn't want her to yell at me again, so I ran out of there.

Miles's POV:

I couldn't believe what I just saw. Chapa would never do this to Bose, but she actually did.

Me: "Not cool, Chapa."

Mika: "Yeah, he was just trying his best."

Chapa: "He dropped and broke the blaster because of a freakin' bee."

Ray: "So? Bees can be pretty scary."

Chapa: "Whatever, I doubt the invisible plan would've worked, anyway."
