The grandeur of the palace greeted Yuna and her family as they arrived for a visit, a formal meeting of two royal households.
The marble halls echoed with the soft murmur of conversations and the occasional clinking of porcelain.
As Yuna and her family engaged in polite exchanges with San's parents, the elder royals subtly hinted at the prospect of marriage.
During the tour of the palace, San's parents approached him discreetly, suggesting that he show Yuna around, a maneuver intended to encourage a connection between the two heirs.
"San, why don't you give Yuna a tour of our gardens? It's a lovely spot," San's mother suggested, a knowing glint in her eyes.
San nodded diplomatically, guiding Yuna away from the rest of the group. As they strolled through the opulent corridors and expansive gardens, the air carried the weight of unspoken expectations.
San decided to break the silence, hesitating at first, then spoke in a hushed tone. "Our parents have been dropping hints about marriage lately. Has that reached your ears too?"
Yuna sighed. "Unfortunately, yes. It seems they're quite keen on the idea."
San nodded. "Iseul and I have been dating, but convincing our parents is proving to be a challenge."
Yuna grinned. "Well, you can count on my support. I'm happy for you both. I remember so clearly how you two kept looking each other at high school. Kinda cute, though."
San scratched the back of his head, blushing slightly. "Thanks, Yuna. I appreciate it. By the way, any romantic interests on your end?"
Yuna chuckled. "Not at the moment. You know me, always focused on other things."
San gave her a thoughtful look. " You never really show interest in anyone, except for that one guy in high school, right? Kim Hongjoong?"
Yuna frowned. "Ugh, don't remind me. We hardly had pleasant interactions. Why bring him up?"
San chuckled, sensing some history. "Just curious. You two seemed like a classic case of rivals in high school. Any unresolved feelings, perhaps?"
Yuna scoffed. "Absolutely not. I'd rather set the palace on fire than entertain the thought of anything romantic with him."
San grinned, enjoying the banter. "Fair enough. Let's navigate the complexities of royal expectations together, shall we?"
Yuna nodded. "Agreed. It's a partnership, after all."
As the tour continued, the palace walls held the echoes of both past rivalries and budding alliances, setting the stage for the intricacies of royal connections.
