The hum of the airplane engines filled the first-class cabin as Yuna reclined in her plush seat, shades on, the embodiment of nonchalance.

She acknowledged the hostess with a gracious smile as she settled into her seat, contemplating the upcoming journey to New York City.

With still about 10 minutes until takeoff, Yuna pulled out a book from her designer handbag, one that she had been eager to dive into during the flight. As she focused on the pages, her thoughts momentarily drifted to whether Hongjoong had already boarded.

In a matter of minutes, the peace of her solitude was disrupted by the arrival of an uninvited guest.

Yuna glanced up, furrowing her brows at the sight of Hongjoong casually taking the seat beside her. Dressed in blue jeans and a white shirt, he seemed indifferent to her presence.

"Why are you here?" Yuna questioned, not bothering to hide her annoyance.

Hongjoong retorted, "Why are you here?"

"To get to NYC," she replied, a touch of sarcasm in her tone.

"Exactly," he shrugged, and Yuna rolled her eyes, sighing audibly. She leaned back into her seat, attempting to resume her reading, while Hongjoong took a moment to observe the cover of her book.

"Didn't expect you to be into cheesy romcoms," he remarked, a teasing glint in his eyes.

"Yeah, okay," Yuna dismissed, not wanting to engage in any further conversation. Hongjoong, however, had other plans.

"Do you expect that to—" he began, only to be abruptly cut off.

"Can you do me a favor?" Yuna interrupted, annoyance evident in her voice.

Hongjoong raised an eyebrow, playing along, "Depends. What's the favor?"

"Shut the hell up," Yuna snapped, and without warning, she smacked the side of his head with her book. He winced, rubbing the affected area.

"Ouch," he muttered, but his smile didn't fade. Yuna, having made her point, nonchalantly crossed one leg over the other, returning to her book.

Hongjoong's gaze, however, couldn't help but drift to the heels she now found more comfortable, a subtle acknowledgment of the previous encounter.

Just as the banter continued, the announcement for takeoff resonated through the cabin, marking the beginning of their shared journey.
