I watch as the door closes behind him. It's nice to know that all boys aren't dicks like Luke. To be honest? I don't need to focus on guys right now. I need girl time. I call Cara.
"Hello?" She answers.
"Hey, Cara. Come over? I really need to talk." I reach out to her.
"Yeah, of course. I'm grabbing my keys now." She replies. I hang up.*15 mins later*
The doorbell rings.
"It's open!" I call out. Cara opens the door and I immediately get up and hug her.
"Come upstairs." I tell her. We go upstairs and sit on the bed. We talk. I let everything out. How I've been feeling just spills from my lips."Cara, it hurts. It hurts to know that I actually started to care about him and he didn't care about me. I . . ." My voice cracks.
"I gave it to him." I speak up.
"Taylor, you didn't," Cara is in disbelief.
"I did. The first time isn't even what was special. The second time he told me that he . . . he cared about me. That was a lie. It was just a lie!" I lean over and hug her. I cry it all out. We lean back.
"Taylor, guys suck. They really do. What can we do about it? Nothing." Cara tells me.
"It really sucks." I agree.*Luke's POV*
"It really sucks." Taylor says as I listen in. What the hell have I done? Taylor is amazing. She doesn't deserve this. No one does. Why am I such an asshole? I move away from her door and go into my room. I sit down on my bed and look at the wall. I deserve this. I can't believe I've hurt her like this.
*Taylor's POV*
I wake up from my short slumber. Cara already left. I see a note that appears to have been slid under my door. I get up and pick up the note.
Luke wouldn't let me anywhere near you haha. You should give me a call sometime. 555-6782 -Ash
What the hell? I reread the note over and over. A smile creeps on my face. Maybe I will. I pick up my phone and nervously enter the number. The phone rings twice.
"Hello?" He answers.
"Um, hey. I-It's Taylor." I start to stutter.
"Ohhhh. Hey, Taylor! I've actually been waiting for you to call me." He chuckles.
"You have?"
"Yes. I didn't really get to talk to you for long earlier." He says.
"Yeah, I know." I reply.
"Maybe, we could talk for longer over let's say . . . dinner?" He's so flirtatious.
"Ashton, we just met earlier and," I start.
"Look, I'm not saying anything fancy. I actually know a little diner that I really enjoy. I'd hate to enjoy it alone." Goddamn. He's good.
"Fine. Meet me there at,"
"Meet you there? No. I can't have my date driving there alone. I'll pick you up at 6." Date?
"Date? Ashton, what?" Should I be happy or what?
"Yes, date. It's tomorrow. Stay beautiful. Goodnight" Click. Holy shit. I have a date. Tomorrow. With a guy who isn't an asshole. Well alright.*The next day; 5:45*
I grab my earrings and complete my outfit. I hope this is alright. I'm wearing a cute little collared shirt and a skirt. Luke always says that I dress like a prude. Anyways, I head down the stairs to wait for Ashton. I'm stopped by Luke.
"Taylor, can we talk?" Luke says. He's made my mood go from elated to furious.
"You know what? We can talk, but we won't. You don't deserve another second of my time, Lucas." I say. He holds his arms up and blocks the way.
"We are going to talk. Right here. Right now. Taylor, when I said,"
"Are you fucking deaf? I said that I'm not talking about this. I have somewhere to be and you're going to put me in a bad mood before I even leave." I spit.
"Really, Taylor? Where do you have to be that is so important?" Luke questions.
"I have a date, asshole. Get out of my way." I say as I force myself through. I start towards the living room, but the doorbell rings. I walk towards the door and open it. Luke's demeanor goes from pleading to-
"You son of a bitch."Keep following!!
