BRIGHTNESS
The huge NightWing with large teardrop scales by his eyes and an aura of...darkness.
He was purple with confusion. But there was a glint of satisfaction in his eyes.
"Where is this?" Darkstalker immediately seemed to understand. "Aha."
Brightness concentrated on him. Enchant this dragon to stay the size of a normal NightWing.
Darkstalker yelped as he began to shrink. "What are you doing?"
"Less visible," Brightness replied simply as he stopped shrinking; he was now just a bit smaller than twice her size.
He frowned. "My magic isn't working."
Brightness felt an unfamiliar twinge of impatience. "It stopped working a few years ago."
"But..." Darkstalker blinked at her. "You-"
"Before I was born," She added with a sigh. Eclipse hissed at the other NightWing, her long tail lashing angrily.
"Oh. Well." Darkstalker's attention shifted to the ocelot. "You brought prey for me? How nice."
Brightness wondered if Eclipse was worth arguing and wasting precious words. She decided that the stupid creature wasn't worth it. She grabbed the ocelot with one talon and tossed her towards the now normal-sized dragon. Darkstalker caught the writhing, snarling ball of fur with a mildly surprised expression.
"Interesting," He mumbled. "I can sort of read her mind. Strange; mind reading normally only works on dragons or scavengers."
He suddenly paused, blinking at Eclipse.
He glanced at Brightness. "Would you mind if you used your magic for me this one time? Of course, you don't have to; I understand if you want to save your soul."
Soul? Brightness smirked.
Whatever soul she owned had withered away the moment she had been born.
Was that...fear she saw? Drifting around the most powerful dragon in Pyrrhian history?
No. The second most powerful dragon. The second most feared.
She was number one.
"Of course." Brightness kept her eyes on the ocelot. "What do you need?"
