VISIONER

Visioner entered the cave. Firefly was chatting with an energetic NightWing with silver scales under her dark blue eyes.

"Oh, hello!" The other NightWing beamed at him. "Visioner, right?"

"Y- yeah," Visioner stammered. He whispered a quick 'hello' to Moon and sat down next to Firefly.

"Hi," She greeted. "I didn't know you'd be here."

"I don't know how they figured it out," Visioner murmured back.

"We have two more students coming, and then we'll start class," Moon called suddenly. "Oh, there they are."

A few seconds later, a frowning NightWing with a hint of blue and gray in his scales entered, followed quickly by a nervous looking NightWing with large teardrop scales by her eyes.

"We're all here, so we'll start introducing ourselves. Name, things we enjoy, our powers and what the moons were like when we hatched." Moon smiled nervously. "I'm, Moonwatcher, but you can call me Moon. I like scrolls, and I can read minds and see the future. I was born under two full moons. Who wants to go next?"

"Me!" The bouncy NightWing next to Firefly cried. "I'm Truthseeker, I like papayas and dragons, and I can read minds! I was born on a full moon."

Moon nodded. "We'll go clockwise now."

"My name is Firefly," Firefly introduced. "Um. I like being alone. I...can sort of feel emotions from other dragons, and I was born on a blood moon."

Interesting, Visioner thought. Would I have been like that if I had been born on the right day? Or maybe it's just because she's a hybrid.

He jumped when he realized everyone was waiting for him. "U- um. M- my name is Visioner. I like..." He trailed off. What did he like, exactly? He hadn't had a lot of freedom since he and Brightness had escaped from Destroyer.

Brightness...

"I...I don't really know what I like, I guess." Visioner refused to make eye contact with anyone. "I have visions sometimes, but they come with seizures. I can only see flashes of different futures during those seizures...and sometimes I see the future in another dragon's point of view. I was born the day before the blood moon."

There was a moment of silence.

"Well," Moon finally said. "Um...Star, you're next."

"I'm Star." He had dark bluish-gray scales that seemed to glow and silver teardrops by his gray eyes. "I like animals. I can read minds and see the future. I was born on the brightest night, with three full moons."

"I'm Dreamer," The NightWing with strange, swirly dark purple patterns on her bluish scales whispered nervously. "I like birds, and I can see the future. I was born on a full moon."
