VISIONER
Visioner watched Qibli and Winter bicker for a while. Suddenly, a NightWing with teardrop scales by her eyes emerged.
"Stop it, you two," Moonwatcher scolded. "You're setting a bad example."
Visioner blinked at her. He'd first seen Moonwatcher- or Moon, as she preferred- in his visions. She was one of the only dragons who would understand him. But the visions of her teaching him how to cope with his unpredictable powers had faded away.
Until now. But instead of Moon teaching him in a hidden cave alone, secret from other dragonets, he was surrounded by a handful of wide-eyed NightWings, in a separate cave. Nothing was hidden.
Moon smiled nervously at him. "I didn't know there'd be that many students."
"What?" Qibli wrinkled his snout at Visioner. "Aha. Future-seeing dragon."
"Do you know where Jasmin is?" Moon interrupted.
JASMIN
Jasmin swallowed the pills the healers had given her. Seagull had found out the the reason for her slow recovery; she didn't sleep at all until she dropped unconscious from exhaustion. Each night was torture. Wasp haunted her dreams every time she closed her eyes. The healers had retrieved the small containers of white pills that the RainWing healers had given her, which stopped hallucinations and nightmares from her cave.
She hoped they didn't find the small stash of weapons she still kept around.
Jasmin slowly made her way out of her bed. Her wounds felt way better, and the poison was finally leaving her system. Her head still throbbed, but it was easing every day.
She wondered where Eclipse was. She hoped no one ate her.
Jasmin stopped as she heard the familiar sound of two dragons arguing.
"What?!" Her jaws dropped as she saw Moon, Winter, Qibli, Turtle, and Kinkajou at the doorway.
"Jasmin!" Kinkajou immediately barreled at her, and Jasmin fell to the ground. Her wounds burned, and she hissed. The bright pink and yellow RainWing scrambled off her.
"Oops. Sorry." She beamed sheepishly at the hybrid.
"Are you okay?" Moon asked. "We heard what happened."
"I'm fine," Jasmin said, rubbing her head.
"Oh, and we're absolutely going to believe that," Winter snorted. "I knew you'd get injured one way or another." There was a hint of worry behind his sharp words.
"Why are you here?" Jasmin asked as she gingerly stood up, wincing. "Let me guess; another evil NightWing animus is on the loose and you're going to stop him."
"Actually, no." Qibli grinned. "I'm a teacher now!"
"I'm teaching NightWing dragonets how to control their powers," Moon explained. "Well, the ones who have them. Qibli's the new music teacher."
"See, Winter?" Jasmin cut in. "I might not have a teacher vibe, but no one even wants to hire you."
"Whatever," Winter snapped. "I'm busy, anyways."
"Oh yeah, with your wonderful human-breeding program," Jasmin retorted. "And I bet you're busy being the not-prince of the IceWings. The exiled cousin of Queen Snowfall."
"We all know you're sarcastic," Qibli cut in before Winter could hiss back an angry comeback. "No need to rub it into our faces."
