Rock. Barren, charred, rock is what is seen from miles around in the desolate landscape, along with the occasional orange glow of lava. No animals, no trees, not even a blue sky give the landscape life. But, there is sound. Besides the almost nonexistent wind in the background, there is the sound of footsteps, boots crunching rock in a slow but steady rhythm.
We see a figure, tall and clad in armor marked with 087 on their upper left chest, walking through this wasteland. With a flashlight lighting the path ahead of them from their golden visored helmet, they trudge on, a shotgun also in hand. This is Kelly, a Spartan-II and member of Blue Team.

For a brief moment, we see through her eyes. It shows the HUD of her helmet, the status of her armor and shields at the top middle, grenades she has stored on her person at the top left, her weapon at the top right, and her motion tracker at the bottom left. The motion tracker blips with a blue dot when the hoot an "owl" is heard. She turns her weapon to the origin of the sound before lowering it, recognizing a fellow Spartan. Like her, they were tall and armored. Unlike her, they had their helmet off and and the numbers 104 on their upper left chest. The face of the Spartan was of a man with short-cut black hair, pale skin skin, and two scars littering his face, one cutting into his hairline while the other sliced through the corner of his right eyebrow. This is Fred, a Spartan-II and member of Blue Team.

"That never sounded like an owl, Fred," Kelly said while holstering her shotgun to her back, magnetic locks keeping it in place.
"Kelly," Fred greeted back.
Kelly took off her helmet before holding it at her side, revealing a pale face, blue eyes, red hair tied into a short pony tail, and four scars littering her face, one at the top right of her forehead, one on the bridge of her nose, one just at the inner corner of her left eyebrow, and one on her left cheek. "We've got two hours to get back to base before ONI starts spilling overtime. Where's the Chief? Where's Linda?"
