The Mafia Head's Little Princess

On the other side of the town, back in the nightclub. Huang Bolin was doomed to have a sleepless night. He watched as his subordinates escorted several men who they thought to be drug dealers outside of the establishment. The suspects, a mix of club staff and drug dealers, were handcuffed and visibly distressed.

Following behind them, Huang Bolin stepped out of the high-end nightclub. The neon lights reflected off his stern expression, emphasizing the gravity of the situation. He adjusted his tie and ran a hand through his disheveled hair, sweat still clinging to his forehead after the intense operation.

As the heavy glass doors closed behind him, the cool night air hit Huang Bolin, providing a stark contrast to the hot, chaotic atmosphere inside. He scanned the perimeter, where his colleagues were busy maintaining order and securing the area. Flashing police lights bathed the scene in an unsettling red and blue glow.

Sergeant Wu Ming, Huang Bolin's lifetime partner, approached him and asked, "How did it go? Are you injured?"

Huang Bolin shook his head and smiled, "I'm fine. We've caught several men who were drug dealers and they'll be brought to the station for further investigation. But I'm afraid that we still haven't caught the orchestrator behind this incident."

Sergeant Wu Ming gestured toward the nightclub. "We got some of 'em, though. Even if we haven't caught the orchestrator, it's over for Stellar Nightclub. The higher-ups won't be able to turn a blind eye this time."

Huang Bolin nodded in agreement.

"But there's another thing I need to tell you," Sergeant Wu Ming continued, "While I'm investigating Stellar Nightclub, I found something that you need to know."

"What is it?"

Sergeant Wu Ming leaned closer and whispered, "I found that Stellar Nightclub was owned by a private company named Hei Ji, and when I dug deeper into that company I found that it's merely a brokerage company."

Huang Bolin furrowed his brow, eyes deepening in curiosity. "A brokerage company? What does that have to do with the nightclub and the drug operation?"

Sergeant Wu Ming glanced around to ensure no one was eavesdropping before responding, "I think Hei Ji might be a front for something bigger. Money laundering, perhaps. The financial transactions within that company are intricate, and there are connections to other businesses that seem unrelated on the surface."

Huang Bolin's expression grew more serious. "Money laundering? If that's the case, we need to investigate further. We need to find out who's pulling the strings."

"If it only involved normal companies, I would agree with what you said," Sergeant Wu Ming nodded in agreement but his expression turned hesitant, "But I found something else. There's a company named Tian Jin who also made a transaction to Hei Ji."

"Tian Jin?"

"Yes, it belonged to Qian Renshu, who owned the largest mafia organization in China. If we do not investigate this carefully, I'm afraid we're just bringing trouble to ourselves. If Qian Renshu is involved, we might be dealing with more than just a drug operation."

Just then, Lieutenant Zhang, their superior, approached them. "Bolin, Ming, excellent work there. We're wrapping things up here. Internal Affairs will take it from here. But we've got a new lead on the orchestrator. Follow me back to the office, we need to talk."

Huang Bolin and Sergeant Wu Ming exchanged a quick look before falling into step behind Lieutenant Zhang, moving away from the chaotic scene surrounding Stellar Nightclub and returning to the police station.
