Chapter 15

"Do you have everything?" Mama P asked. We all nodded. She'd been running around the house all morning making sure everybody had everything. She handed a little box to me. "This has all your medicine in it, already divided up for when you take it." I nodded as I took the box. "I'll be calling around lunchtime just to check on you. I trust you to take your medicine, but sometimes time can slip up on you." She added.

"What do you mean? They're not coming with us?" Nat asked giving her aunt a look.

"They're not flying with us. Blaire wants to go visit someone and I think it'll be good for her. Jay's driving her." Mama P replied. Nat just looked at her like she was crazy.

"Is one grandchild on the way not enough?" Nat mumbled. I looked down.

"Natalia Marie, that is enough from you." Mama P snapped.

"I'm taking her to visit her father and grandparents. She can't just walk down the street to see them." Jay snapped. Nat gave me an apologetic look as Canton walked away.

"Let's go. The taxi is here." Ross yelled oblivious to what just happened.

"Take the next right." I ordered. Jay glanced at me then took the next right. "It's the fourth house on the left." I told him. He nodded.

"Whose house are you taking me to?" He asked. I just smiled.

"Someone's." I mumbled as he pulled into the driveway of the house I pointed out. "Come on." I got out of the car and motioned for Jay to follow me. He rolled his eyes but followed me up to the door. I thought about just walking in but decided against it. I knocked. I was practically bouncing as I waited for the door to open. I smiled as it did.

"Surprise." I cheered. Jake just blinked at me then glanced at Jay.

"What are you doing here?" Jake asked. I shrugged.

"We were on our way to some resort for the holidays but I wanted to stop by here first. I got some people to see." I replied just pushing my way into the house.

"I'm assuming you mean your dad and grandparents." He mumbled. I frowned as I nodded.

"Why don't I give you two some time to talk. I can go get us a hotel room." Jay mumbled. Jake waved his hand.

"Don't worry about it. You guys can have the guest room." Jake offered.

"Uncle Joe won't mind?" Jake gave me a look.

"His favorite girl is visiting. He won't care." I just nodded then glanced at Jay. He nodded, causing me to smile.

After just lying around on the couch watching movies for a few hours, Jake stood up. "You guys can stay here, but I have to get to work." I nodded sitting up as Jay's phone went off.

"Time for my medicine." I mumbled. Jake nodded.

"I'll be back around ten." He told me before leaving. I gave Jay a look.

"Will you bring me my medicine?" I asked. Jay gave me a small smile and nodded. He pressed a quick kiss to the top of my head then left to get my medicine. He returned a few minutes later with my medicine and a glass of water. He handed it to me as he sat down.

"Why didn't you tell me sooner?" He asked. I'd been waiting for him to ask.

"I didn't want you to treat me differently. I didn't want people to know and they treat me like I'm made of glass or something. I wanted people to be friends with me because of who I am, not because they feel sorry for me or something." I replied after I took my medicine. Jay pulled me into him. "I'd like to go see Makenna now." I mumbled.
