Tris POV

The school holidays are gonna end today. That's right, today's the last day of holidays and I'm certainly not ready for school tomorrow. Then, my phone beeps.

Tobias-Hey Tris, not excited for school tomorrow.

Tris-Same here. But it's not up to us. School starts tomorrow.

Tobias-Ugh! Don't remind me!!

Tris-He he!! :)

Tobias-Whatever.

No one's excited for school of course. I have to go anyway.

xXx

I wake up groggily. The first thing that comes to my mind is school. Ugh!!! I groan and get ready. When I go down for breakfast, I see that Caleb isn't there.

"Mom? Where's Caleb?"

"He isn't feeling well today. He came down with a flu." She says. I inwardly groan. He gets to stay home. But it's not his fault. I don't really feel like eating much today so I just grab a granola bar and go outside. There rests a helmet on top of my car. And someone taps my shoulder from behind. I turn around to see Tobias.

"Come on, we're riding in my Harley." He says. I put the helmet on my head and get in behind him. When we arrive at school, I see that our friends are waiting in where we park our vehicles.

"The prom was quite the drama for you, wasn't it?" Uriah says.

"Yeah, I wanted it to be perfect but Lauren ruined a huge part of it." Tobias says.

"Oh, I hope she-"Christina is cut off by a very annoying voice.

"Hello losers, miss me?" It's Lauren. Tobias grabs my hand and backs away. Lauren moves toward us but our friends get in the way.

"Back off, slut! I'm surprised you still go to school here!! After what you did to Tris, you should've gotten kicked out, just like Peter. But you're lucky the principal's your daddy!" Zeke shouts at her.

"What do you want?!" Uriah shouts at her.

"Isn't it obvious? I want Four. He must break up with that loser and date me. He doesn't deserve anyone like her. I mean, look at her!! She's the most ugliest thing I think I've ever seen. She can't even give him anything. But I can!" She says. Which makes tears prick my eyes but I keep it in.

Tobias grabs my waist and pulls me closer. This touch sends sparks flying up my body. "You don't tell me who to date, Lauren. That's something I choose for myself." He says. "And I choose her."

Lauren looks at me in disgust and walks away. But I think she's right about all the things she said about me.

"Um, I think I need the restroom. I'll be right back." I say and run.

Once I'm in the washroom, I shut myself in one of the cabins and pour all my feelings out. That's right, I'm crying. I don't know what's wrong with me. But what she said this time really crossed my limits. But I feel like it's true, oh I don't know. And it's time for class, so I have to go.
