Tobias POV
I can't believe she'd do this! Uh, Lauren I mean. I actually feel very stupid for not listening to Tris right now. I actually feel very stupid for believing Lauren right now. Ugh! Why did even believe her in the first place? That's Lauren for you. I just got back on with Tris. And this time, I am not gonna be so gullible. I walk out of my last class of 1st block, with Tris at my side. My arm around her waist and her hand on my shoulder, it's perfect. We go to Tris's locker because she said she needed to get something.
I look at her as she does what she needs to do. I should trust her. Trust her enough to believe that she would never ever cheat on me. Trust her enough to not believe anyone who tells me that she isn't true to me on the spot. Even if the evidence is a photograph. It might be fake, just like this time. A hand goes I front of my face. It's Tris, waving her hand in front my face to get my attention.
"Let's go." She says, in her clear perfect voice. I nod. We go to the cafeteria and sit down at our table. All our friends look at us. Zeke and Marlene must know too. Zeke, well, I told him. Marlene, Uriah must've told her about it.
"So," Uriah starts.
"Are you guys back together?" Christina continues for him. Tris nods to her and everyone's face lights up.
"Yay!!" Zeke exclaims.
"What's the commotion about guys?" A voice, we've all grown to hate, asks. Lauren.
"Go away!" Christina shouts at her.
"Yeah, you're in lights now, Lauren!" Uriah yells.
"What do you mean?" She asks, looking fearful. "Four? What is this?"
"Don't think I'm gonna defend you. You had me fooled once. But not again." I say to her. "Also, we're not friends anymore. You've lost the position of being my friend. Tris is my girlfriend and I am more than happy with her."
"But-"
"You heard him. Now go!" Will shouts at her.
"You will pay for this!" She shouts at Tris. I put my arm around her.
"Not with me here, now just go. Nobody wants you around." I say.
Well, that was something.
"So you coming to the party on Friday now?" I whisper to Tris.
"Yeah." She whispers back to me. I smile and kiss her.
"Get it down with the PDA lovebirds!" Christina shouts. Everyone roars with laughter.
