Chapter 8

Tris POV

It's been a week since Lauren 'apologized' to us. She acts like she really means it and the group likes her a lot but I keep my distance. I still don't believe her. Something feels off. I think she's planning something. Something to break me and Tobias up. I see it in the way she looks at Tobias. I don't believe her. She even changed the way she dresses. She doesn't come to school looking like a slut. But I don't believe her. And my hormones when I'm around Tobias has been getting worse. Guess that's part of having a boyfriend like that. Uriah's party that day was postponed because his parents were home. So it was postponed to today, Friday. So I decide on a pink knee-length dress, sandals and accessories. I pull my hair up into a stylish bun and apply minimal make-up. I hop into my car and drive to the Pedrad's.

When I enter, I hear loud music blasting. It's so loud that I wouldn't even hear myself if I talked. Sheesh. Someone taps my shoulder. I turn around to see...Lauren. Arrrrgh!! She smiles at me and something tells me that it's fake.

"Wow, Tris! You have a great fashion sense!" She says, looking at my dress. Whatever.

"Thanks." I say in a flat tone.

"Hey, I see that you've become friends!" Tobias says, approaching us. Huh, as if.

He puts his hand on her shoulder. I feel something burning up my throat. Not jealousy, anger. Anger that Tobias has the nerve to believe her. She blushes at this contact and my face grows even hotter.

"You look amazing, Tris." He says to me. Yeah, right.

"Thanks." I reply in the same tone.

I see that not many people are here. Only all our group and Lauren. I will not consider her as part of the group.

"Hey!! Truth or Dare everyone!" Uriah shouts from somewhere. We all get in a circular position. I end up in between Christina and Lynn. I stay as far away as from Lauren. I see the she's sitting beside MY Tobias. Seriously, she's taking my boyfriend away from me!

"Hey, what's with them?" Christina whispers to me, looking at Tobias and Lauren.

"She's taking him away from me!" I whisper back.

"Oh, Tris..." She looks at me sadly.

"He didn't even kiss me when he saw me like he usually will." I whisper to her.

"Alright, my place. I start." Zeke says. "Four, my buddy, Truth or Dare."

"Truth, and Uriah, if you say it, you won't live to see tomorrow." Tobias says.

"Well, what's you real name?" He asks. Tobias whips off his shirt. Lauren stares at him. I glare at her while staring at him. I find myself wanting him.

"Will, Truth or Dare?" He asks.

"Dare." He replies.

"I dare you to let Christina give you a makeover." Tobias says, grinning evily.

"Well, I don't really wanna strip so..." He says and gets up. Christina follows him. Later, he comes out looking like an old grandmother who doesn't know how to apply make up. We all die of laughter.

"Lauren, Truth or Dare?" Will asks.

"Dare." She says.

"I dare you to kiss Four." He says and I get mad. Couldn't he think of other things to dare her?! Lauren kisses my Tobias fully on the lips for a minute and sits back down. I'm fuming mad. And jealous.

"Tris, Truth or Dare?" She asks me.

"Um, dare?" I say it more like a question.

"I dare you to break up with Four." Huh, as if I would. Tobias looks at me with fear filled eyes. So I decide to play around with him. I think of the moment when Lauren kissed him and that gives me an angry face and a voice.

"Four, we're breaking up." I say, trying not to giggle. He looks devastated.

"What?!" He shouts.

"I said we're breaking up." I say. "Christina Truth or Dare?"

"Dare."

"I dare you to play seven minutes in heaven with Will." I say and she blushes. I know she likes him. So they get up and go into one of the guest rooms. 7 mins later, Will comes out with lipstick stains all over his face and Christina's hair's a tousled mess. She mouths a 'thank you' to me. Everyone laughs.

"Tris, Truth or Dare?" She asks.

"Dare."

"I dare you to play seven minutes in heaven with....Uriah!" Tobias looks enraged.

"I won't allow this!" He shouts.

"No one asked for your say. Uriah let's go." I say and we go into the room and close the door.

"Well, we aren't gonna do anything right?" He asks.

"Nope, we aren't. But I wanna play around with them, especially Four." I say.

He grins. He bangs the door to make it sound as if he's pushing me against it. We start moaning and I hear a cry of outrage outside. Sounds like Tobias. Uriah starts tearing the curtains of windows to make it look as if we're ripping each other's clothes off.

"Uriah!" I moan. I giggle silently.

"Oh Tris you look so hot with your clothes off!" He says loudly. He grins.

The door breaks down and we burst into fits of laughter. There stands Tobias, looking mad. But when he sees that everything was fake, he sighs in relief and drags me outside. Marlene looks hurt, so Uriah puts an arm around her.

"We're done with this game.Bye." He says and drags me outside. Which makes me laugh even harder. Tobias scowls at me. Then his eyes soften.

"Tris, why did you break up with me?" He asks.

"Well, it was a dare and I didn't want to sit in my lingerie. So I had no choice." I say.

"So you didn't mean it?" He asks.

"Nope." He sighs in relief again. He pulls me into his arms and kisses me. I melt into his lips. He pulls away.

"I love you."

"I love you too."
