Haymitch: This kinda thing usually happens at this point. There's only one winner, right?

Eve: [whispers and looks down] right.

Remus grips Eves hand tightly.

Scene changes to Caesar on stage, thousands in the crowds cheering.

"Bloody Hell" James mouth falls open, "that's a lot of people"

Wanda's eyes widen, "way too many people"

T'challa shakes his head, "and that's not even counting the thousands watching on TV"

Caesar: Thank you! Welcome! Welcome, Welcome to the 74th Annual Hunger Games!

Loud cheering can be heard, the crowds are shown.

They shake their heads still in disbelief at the amount of support the games have.

Caesar: Now in about five minutes, they're all going to be out here. All the tributes that you've heard about. Are you excited!!? [crowd cheers again]

Switch to Carter in a beautiful red dress twirling.

Klaus whistles,"You look magnificent darling" He couldn't take his eyes off of her.

"Absolutely breath taking"

Rebekah hides a small chuckle behind her hand not used to seeing her brothers swoon so hard.

James mouth runs dry.

Carter blushes muttering a quiet thank you.

Cinna: Amazing

Eve: I don't feel amazing.

Cinna: Don't you know how beautiful you are?

"So beautiful" Remus wipes a tear before it can fall.

Eve: No. And I don't know how to make people like me.

"Everyone loves you La- Eve!" She laughs at Thors sugar high, sharing a look with Bruce who was over it after, mistakingly, attempting to take the sugar from his soulmate.

Cinna: Well you made me like you.

Eve: That's different, you aren't delusional about what is going to happen tomorrow. Those people are different.

Cinna: Look you're right, the odds are you'll die tomorrow, and these people can't fucking wait to see it happen, but today? You're going to do everything you can to live.

They sober up at Cinnas reality check.

Cinna tucks a strand of hair behind her ear

Bucky frowns.

Cinna: I don't care what you have to do, lie through your teeth, give your biggest smile, flirt even, as long as at the end of this they like you.

Natasha nods, "fake it till you make it"

Klaus shakes his head in disbelief, he's lived a lot of lives, seen a lot of different civilizations but he still couldn't wrap his head around how ridiculous this all was.

She still looks unconvinced, he grabs her hand gaining her attention again.

Cinna: Look, if you don't give this your best shot, you'll be killing yourself.
