Like a package labeled "fragile," we were placed delicately on my bed by Theo. Nate wasn't far behind, curtly locking the door before the pompous jerk kicked off his shoes, adding more to the hoarder's paradise that was my room.I didn't think it was a mess, but according to my mom Beth, my room was an absolute trash dump. And she wouldn't leave me alone about it, either. She was always pointing out the clumps of lint and the orphaned socks that could be found at the threshold of my bedroom door. Every conversation started and ended on this topic. The amount of times I was told to stop being a troll and have some common decency was way too many to count. But I assured her I just lived in a complex ecosystem.
The somewhat organized chaos never really bothered me until now. With my clothes scattered all over the floor, it was hard to even find a place to walk through. The trash can was filled to the brim with candy wrappers and soda cans that probably needed to be taken out ages ago, but I was too lazy to even do that. On my dresser, my medicine bottles were out of the box I usually kept them in. Some had even fallen to the floor—a vague reminder that I still wasn't completely truthful with my parents.
In order to keep up the illusion with my moms, I still took 'pills.' The pills, however, were just prenatal vitamins and minerals that Clarie prescribed for me. Not the pharmacy boatload of prescriptions I used to be on. Since my moms left me in charge of picking up my meds now, they never questioned the change in color and size. But one day, if I wasn't careful enough, they could find out the truth, and that would only be the beginning of the end for me.
Forget telling them I'm a werewolf, they'd probably get a psychiatric hold on my ass before I can even explain myself.
"Nooo, you idiots, wait!" River hollered, trying to redirect the Alphas out of my room, but it was too late. They saw what I had been trying to hide from them.
"Aww, did you make this? Or was it Remy? This is kinda cute." Nate pointed to the pile of clothing on my bed. It wasn't just any ordinary pile of shirts or jackets, but the Alphas' clothes I had collected (really stolen for myself) over the past months we spent together. River kept calling it a nest of some sorts, but I didn't care what it was. Sleeping in the bundle eased the separation anxiety I felt while I was away from them.
The Alphas didn't seem to care what my room looked like. Their only focus was solely on how fast they could get undressed. Theo took his shirt off, his toned body covered in black ink and intricate tattoos. My eyes gladly took in the buffet of muscles, and with everything on full display, my jaw almost dropped to the ground.
Nate took his shirt off too. My eyes widened as he unbuckled his pants, showing off his black Calvin Klein boxer briefs, revealing the huge bulge he had trapped inside of them. This was all too hot for me to handle. My body was tingling and itching at the chance to be with the two—but seriously, it wasn't the right time.
"What are you fucking idiots doing?" River, still in control, sat up on the edge of the bed. My wolf was livid, baring his teeth as he demanded our mates stop whatever the hell this impromptu Magic Mike striptease they were doing. It wasn't working on him.
"Listen, River." Nate had made his way over to us, lying down on the bed to get comfortable. "You seem a bit tense today. Why don't you come over here and lay down —"
"No, you imbecile. I'm not doing anything! We have somewhere to be!!" My wolf practically screamed as he stood up.
"River, we know." Theo stopped getting undressed, leaving his pants still on as he quickly tried to defuse the situation.
