Chp 27- A little Misunderstanding

Suffocation.

That's what it felt like. I was breathing but no air would come into my lungs. Triggered into flight or fight mode, I shook my body, desperate to get myself free. My eyes widened as I stared back at the mirror to find it was none other than my mom's bodyguard, the rogue Alpha.

"Nooo, somebody hel—," I tried to scream but my words were muffled. The Alpha made sure to keep a tight seal on my mouth. A silent fight ensued, the two of us thrashing around, with me trying to get free. My body was reliving a hellish nightmare I knew all too well as panic began to take over.

"Hey, stop it...won't you wait a second?" The Alpha tried to calm me down but I was too afraid to listen to him. I tried twisting my arms to break his tight grip on me, but he was too strong. I was no match, he only needed one hand to hold onto both of mine together all while his other free hand was used to keep my mouth shut. I was desperate to breathe. I was fighting like crazy though I knew it wasn't much against the overgrown brute. But I still tried.

"Remy... wait!"

I bit down on his hand, doing everything in my power to escape. The metallic taste of iron coated my tongue as I tried to hurt him but he didn't budge. He didn't even flinch. Pulling my body into a submissive hold, he was able to get more control over me. Hovering over me, all I could feel was the pressure of his heavy body holding me down.

Dizzy and slightly disoriented, I was running out of hope as I struggled to breathe. My weak body sputtered into overdrive, freaking the fuck out as I fought for my life.

'Help me, River!!! I'm being kidnapped!!' I kept crying out in my mind, begging for my wolf to take over and save me. My mind went blank, forgetting the basics of everything I needed to do in order to survive conveniently at the wrong time.

What the fuck? What the fuck?! I need to call Theo and Nate! No wait, maybe call the enforcers or better yet the council? Call everyone?!

Switching from fighting to being frozen still, I was never really good at making any decisions in intense moments like I found myself in right now. I was scared shitless at what would happen to me or worse.... My pups!!! The Alpha's tightening grip added to my panic more. Any tighter and he could hurt them if I didn't escape now. All those fears of what would happen to us after I was captured filled my mind. Slowly losing oxygen to my brain, delirium began to set in.

What if I have to live with Ares again? No, I don't want that!! I don't think I'd survive a second!

With my mouth still covered, the Alpha had a strong hold on my body. The physical struggle continued as I thrashed to get my arms or even my legs freed from his hold but I was unsuccessful.

"River!!!" I screamed. It was the only thing I could remember to do: frantically call for the one person who was here to witness everything that was happening. My wolf had sat for too long now, silently watching for a while. The temperamental creature rolled his eyes at my hysteria, not even concerned in the slightest. With a sharp inhale from his muzzle jaw, he let out a tired sigh.

'You're not being kidnapped.' He sighed some more, impatiently waiting for me to cede control over to him before he took the helm of my body.

'What? Yes, I am! Are you blind? The fuck are you saying?!'

Not answering me, a familiar rush surged through my body, and relief came to me once I was safely in my mind. My eyes flashed a deep lavender hue, my wolf in control now and he didn't waste any time either. River was quick to handle our situation.
