Hey guys!! It's another crappy chapter time!! I feel like these keep getting worse and worse... but it's fine!! Maybe this one will pick it up a little bit. anyway, this is the 10th chapter, and I feel like that means something, so, HAPPY TENTH CHAPTER!! Anyway, it's Elle's POV, enjoy babes!!
I woke up to my alarm, jumping at the sound. I had barely gotten 5 1/2 hours, which wasn't bad, but wasn't good. I stopped my alarm, and went to the bathroom to get dressed. I threw on a simple black t-shirt, ripped blue jeans, and a hoodie. I brushed my teeth and hair really fast, then went downstairs quietly.
Nobody was down there when I first got down, so I turned on the kitchen light and made myself cereal. As I ate my cereal, I noticed Walker hadn't texted me back yet.
That's weird, I thought. He wakes up before me.
I shrugged, not thinking much of it, and sent him a text, telling him what had happened yesterday.
Once I got to school, I saw Walker opening his locker. I would have waved, but he wouldn't have seen me. I started to walk away, when I heard a voice call out to me. "Hey, Elle!"
I turned my head around to see Walker jogging to catch up to me. "Hi."
"Oh, just wanted to let you know, I'm grounded, so don't text my phone anything...you know."
I froze. Oh shit.
"Hey, what's wrong?" He jostled my shoulder gently.
"I-I texted y-you this morning.." I opened my phone and showed him the text.
Hey, I noticed you hadn't texted me back so I just wanted to let you know what happened last night. After my dad got us home he beat up Jackson so we had to take him to the ER. I'll tell you more at school. 😘
"Oh shit, Elle.." He ran a hand through his hair.
"I'm sorry.." I felt so bad, he was gonna get in trouble, and it was gonna be my fault.
"You didn't do anything wrong," He hugged me, and I buried my face in his chest. Thankfully, Jackson was suspended for another day, so he wouldn't be here to judge me.
The warning bell rang. "I'm sorry, Elle, I have to get to class." He pecked me on the forehead before walking off. (A/N: CUE THE MUSIC [Playing There goes my life by Kenny Chesney] THERE GOES MY LIFE)
I hurried to class, not wanting to be late.
It was lunch, and I had forgotten money.
I sat where I always sat, the little round lunch table in the corner, on my phone. Suddenly, arms wrapped around me. While panicked for a moment, I then realized it was Walker. I leaned into the hug.
"Where's your lunch?" he asked me quietly.
"I don't have one."
"Why not, Elle?"
"I don't have any money." I closed my eyes.
"I have a few extra dollars from a few weeks ago, I'll buy you lunch." He pulled me up from my seat.
"You don't have to do that, Walker."
"Oh, you may have forgotten, but I am your boyfriend and I need to help you out sometimes." He walked me to the lunch line, where we waited for a few minutes.
After we had gotten our lunches, I told him everything about yesterday, from after school to the ER.
