You bitches should go read my new book, ¿Sobreviviré? (Will I survive?). I have a chapter done and I'm halfway through the second. It might be better than this book, but it's super similar. It's Elle guys.

After I landed on the roof from climbing out the window, I found a ladder on the side of the house. I got onto my hands and knees, not really wanting to snap my neck, and slowly crawled to the edge. Once I got there, I put my left foot on the ladder, then flipped my body so I was now facing my house.

I slowly shimmied down the ladder, taking it one foothold at a time. Once I got to the bottom, I ran to the fence that split out houses apart. I climbed over the wooden fence, wincing whenever I got a splinter (I got at least 10!) then I ran to Walker's front door. I pressed the doorbell.

Walker opened the door. "Elle? What's going on? You okay?"

I had my hands on my knees, trying to catch my breath. "I'm great! Just out.....of....breath.."

"Come inside." He wrapped an arm around my shoulders, leading me inside. "Oh my God, what is wrong with your hands?"

He grabbed one of my hands, and shivers went down my spine. It was cut up and had splinters in it.

"I, you know, climbed out the window onto my roof, climbed down a shaky ladder, then climbed the fence between our houses.."

"Elle! That fence has so many splinters! C'mon, I have a first aid kit." He took my hand again and led me to his kitchen.

"I also have a favor to ask you." I sat at a bar stool at the island. Walker got into a cabinet above the counter top, and dug out a metal first aid kit.

"Yeah? What is it, love?" My heart fluttered at the nickname.

"I-um- Noah needs his car... it's still at his school and we can't go there without a car. We were hoping your mom would take him to go get it?"

"Hold still, you're moving," Walker grasped my hand and plucked the splinters out, and I bit my cheek. "my mom would probably drive us there with Noah or Matthew."

"Thank you, Walker." I smiled at him, and he smiled back. My heart fluttered. I never knew how in love I was with this boy.

"Of course." He closed the first aid kit, and I looked down at my hands. "I'll go ask my mom."

"Okay, thanks Walker." I said as he walked away.  I pulled out my phone and texted Noah.

Walker's mom will probably take us, he's asking right now

Ok ill be over if she says yes.

I put my phone away just as Walker and his mom walked back in.

"Hi, Elle." Mrs. Scobell said to me.

"Hi Mrs. Scobell." I smiled politely. She made me feel uncomfortable after she took us home last night.

"Is Noah going to come so we can take him to get his car?"

"Um yeah, lemme just text him again." I pulled out my phone again, and texted him the 'all clear'. "Yea just texted him he's gonna walk over."

"Okay, perfect. Walker, go get into the car with Elle and Noah honey." She tousled his hair and we walked out, hand in hand.

Walker opened the door for me, and I mumbled my thanks. He smiled at me, and I almost melted. His smile was sooo cute. I smiled back, and closed the door behind me. I saw Noah walking toward us, and I waved at him with my free hand. He smiled and waved back.

"Hey." Noah said when he got near us.

"Hey." Walker and I said in unison, then started giggling uncontrollably.

"Okay, let's go get into the car." Walker said, leading us over to his mom's mini van. He opened the door, and Noah climbed through to the other side. I sat in the middle, and Walker was on my opposite side.

Mrs. Scobell came into the car shortly after, and started the car. "Seat belts?"

"Yep!" the three of us said, double-checking that our belts were buckled.

The car started with a lurch, and we were off. My hands rested on my legs, and Walker grabbed one and held it gently.

I looked up at him, and he gave me a questioning look, as if to say is this okay? I nodded gently, smiling. He smiled back, rested his head against my shoulder. I sighed gently, a happy sigh, and took in the moment.

We had arrived.

God, why did this have to end?

I thanked Mrs. Scobell, and got out of the car grudgingly. I had to let go of Walker's hand. I waved, a sad smile on my face. Walker smiled back. I turned to get into Noah's car.

Noah started up the car, and then said to me. "I'm just gonna drive you home and then go to the IC with Jackson, okay?"

"Sounds good." I smiled, not knowing what was happening next.
