His hands were trembling as he was grasping the phone, staring intently at it. It felt as if someone placed a knife in his heart stabbing all over again, it left him bleeding.
"Jeff, he is cheating on you" bas voice brought him out of the fog, he immediately cuts the calls, a photo of his husband and that woman Jane kissing in a private restaurant, he knows he doesn't have any role as a husband on bible's life, he tries to hide it their distance from the outsiders.
He let out a choked sob, his broken voice reached the driver, he looked at Jeff in the rearview mirror
" Khun Jeff, are you okay?"
"yeah, Yeah I'm fine don't worry about me" he wiped out the tears from his sleeves.
" I'm tired of this marriage " he whispered bitterly as they drove into his campus.
The class was noisy, and he noticed his friend Jess was showing his phone to his friend Us face was shocked, and his anxiety was growing,
Did Bas share those photos with them?
"Hey," he greeted them.
"Jeff!" Us shouted and rushed towards him, he thanked the stars and he came back to earth. Us showed a photo of Jess in an upcoming magazine cover.
"Wow Jess, I'm so proud of you" he complimented his friend. and he seated on his chair
"hey Jeff are you okay, why are your eyes so dull?" said Perth looking at him confused.
He caught
"Nothing, yesterday I didn't get enough sleep", he made a lie to believe them
"Oh, that will be a rough night, right Jeff?" Perth mocked him
"shut up man"
He didn't even touch me yet
A hand pressed on his shoulder, he turned his head to the back
"Jeff, do you have time to talk with me?" bas said in concern
He nodded
Both went out of the classroom and they were on the balcony, bas could feel his nervousness.
"Jeff tell me, what's going on between you and your husband, do you know about this?"
He nodded slowly, he felt ashamed of himself he didn't even look at his friend.
"Jeff, why on earth you didn't tell about this your family or his?"
" Bas I don't have the heart to do that, I don't want to ruin their happiness"
"Seriously Jeff? Are you fucking serious? You're ruining your life man, can't you see?"
Yeah, he knows it
" Bas, please let's stop here, and please don't tell them what you see"
Bad whole attention was on Jeff, and this hurt him, this is not his Jeffy, his happinessness and cheerfulness vanished when he married that ugly man.
With the intense glare, that he turned to look back at Bas, he showed a tinted smile to him, that he was okay no need to worry about him.
Relieved washed over as soon as it was time to leave college, he said goodbye to his friends, and immediately went to his car and headed towards his home.
Home?
It's just a shelter for live it didn't feel as happy and warm, home feels like something where you want to cherish your memories, but it's just a luxury home where two strangers can't even look at each other.
