I stood behind my brother as he placed every drug he collected during the inspection in front of him like a mountain. I gasped at the amount of things.

"Enna da ivlo iruku?" I asked him.

"Ivanuga kedurathu illama chinna pasangalayun kedukuruga," anna said, firing the drugs.

Opposite to us, Das was directly glaring at us as I glanced at the boys who said they don't like these drugs. They were the only ones who genuinely seemed happy about it. I smiled at them, indicating that everything is going to be okay for them.

Now everyone inside the class except Das and his group. As my brother was talking to the boys, I looked down at the time.

"Dei anna, time ayidichu da, na kelambura," I said to him.

"Na vena-" he started, but I cut him off.

"Nane poi kura, na Charu mam kuda tha iruka pora, so payapudatha," I said to him, then looked at the boys.

"Bye da, apram pakalam," I said to the boys as they all said their goodbyes. I walked out of the class and went to the gate, where I saw Das and his group sitting together. When he noticed me, he quickly stood up and walked towards me. I wasn't surprised. I sighed as they all stood in front of me, blocking my way, and Das stood in front of me closely.

Das stood in front of me, his gaze intense and challenging. I kept my composure, meeting his eyes without flinching.

"Enna venum?" I asked him.

"Neetha venum variya?" he asked, and his group laughed at this. I raised an eyebrow, unimpressed, but for some reason, my heartbeat quickened.

"Enna ulla varathuku munnadi Madras padam paathuttu vanthiya?" I questioned him.

Das chuckled, a sly grin forming on his face. "Annanu thangachiyum etho pannuringa. Ithala niruthittu oora paathu oodunigana onga valka nalla iruku," his voice sent a shiver down my spine.

I rolled my eyes. "Unnala ippadi meratta mattum tha mudiyum."

"Ennala enna panna mudiyum nu adutha thadava sollura. Athayum kekama irunthana enna pannuvanu sonneno athey panni kaatituva. Athu unga anna na vida unnaku tha romba bathikum," Das said, leaning in a bit closer.

I held my ground, not allowing him to intimidate me, as I glared at him. Das studied me for a moment, and then he stepped aside, allowing me to pass. As I walked away, I could feel his eyes on me, but I didn't turn back. I knew this wasn't the end of our interactions.

The next day, I came with my college friend to clean the juvenile. As we entered, everyone looked shocked at my brother.

"Sir, mass ah irukinga," Sri said, and we all laughed. Then we started cleaning the juvenile together.

I walked with Sri to the boys as they sat together and sang the song. I noticed Das and his group sitting not far from the boys.

"Ivanuga tha sonnala," I said to Sri as the boys stopped the song and turned to us.

"Yaaru ka ithu?" Mani asked me.

"Iva peru Sri, iva en best friend da," I introduced as the boys looked at us with different smiles.

"Appo engaluku mama," one boy said as I looked at him, shocked.

"Dei, maths la ungaluku varathu aana intha maathiri takku takku nu serthu mattu vakirathu varum la," I said as they all looked at me, confused.

"Yaaru ka maths?" one boy asked as Sri laughed loudly.

"Dei, maths na kanaku da," I said with a sigh. From the corner of my eyes, I saw Das staring at me.

We went back to cleaning, and I saw Savitha and Bhargav talking. I slowly walked over to them.

"Love birds," I called them, and they turned to me, smiling nervously. "Namma ethuku vanthu irukom?" I asked them.

"Clean panna," they said.

"Nenga enna pandringa?" I asked them as they rubbed their necks.

"Clean-" they started.

"Shut your bloody lovey-dovey and help us!" I shouted at them as they quickly took the broom and started to clean. Our friends laughed at us.

"Dei, yaaruda ivangala onna pottathu?" I asked loudly to everyone.

As we were cleaning, I saw Das and his group coming and unzipping their pants, causing Savitha and the other girls to quickly turn around. I grabbed the bucket, just filled moments ago, and poured it on Das. Savitha and the other girls chuckled when they saw it, and Das slowly turned around, visibly trembling with anger.

"Ohh, sorry Das," I said in an innocent voice. "Ne anga nikuratha paakala." He glared at me, and just as Sri and Bhargav came and saw what happened, they both stood in front of me.

"Please, nanga inga clean pandrom kelambuga," Bhargav said, and Das must've noticed he couldn't do anything with everyone gathered there. He and his group walked away, not without giving me a final glare.

"Unnaku thairiyum jasthi di," Sri said, and I just shrugged my shoulders.

"Jasthi tha, ava appadi oru merattal vittum na ithala enna thairiyathula pannuranu therila," I asked myself.
