I woke up to the sound of someone calling me. As my consciousness returned bit by bit, I opened my eyes and saw the boys sitting around me, trying to wake me up.

"Akka, en thiri ka?" I heard, and as I sat up slowly, everyone hugged me. I looked around and realized I was in a truck. Suddenly, a jerk made the boys pull away from me.

"Akka, nammala engayo kuttitu poranga ka," Undiyal said.

"Nenga payapudathinga, kandippa Master anna vanthu kapathu varu," I assured them. The truck continued to jerk, and at one point, it came to a stop.

"Vanthuttoma?" one boy asked. I quickly stood up, went to the door, and slammed my hands against it.

"Dei, evana irunthalum kadava theraga da, chinna pasanga kitta viratha kaaturinga ambalaya da neengalam," I shouted, continuously slamming the door. Suddenly, I heard the door opening sound, and I stood in a defensive mode in front of the boys.

The door slowly opened, and I lowered my defense, tears forming in my eyes. The person who opened the door was my brother.

"Vaathi!" the boys cheered.

"Anna!" he quickly climbed inside and hugged me tightly, and I wrapped my arms around him. I felt him sob on me, and I, too, cried.

"Na romba payanthuta di," he said, and I nodded through tears.

"Sorry, Anna." He pulled away and kissed my forehead, and I noticed Vanathi.

"Akka," I called, and she smiled at me. With the help of my brother, I climbed out and hugged her as she hugged me back.

"Na kelvi pattathu unmaiya Bhargav Velu," I asked, pulling away.

"Bhargav ku thalaila periya adi, Velu coma la iruka uyiruku onnu illanu sonnaga," Vanathi Akka said with tears as I hugged her and patted her back. Thank god, I thought they were dead.

"Avanga seri aayi vanthuduvanga," I said. Then, I remembered Das as I pulled away from her.

"Das Anna, Das enga na?" I asked with rage as my Anna pointed behind me. I turned to see him standing there.

"Unna," I started to walk to him, and Anna quickly came to me and stopped me.

"Avan ippa nammaka pakkam tha," my brother said as I looked at him in confusion, then turned to Das, who looked guilty.

"Oh, sir ku thidir nu mula vanthuducha," I asked him as my Anna shook his head.

"Ne yaarunu avanuku therinjuchu," my brother said as I looked at him in shock.

"Neeye avankitta pesi thernjiko," my brother said. "Aana ippo namma plan ah execute pannanum."

"Plan ah enna plan?" I asked him.

"Na truck la pasanga kuda irupa. Neeyum Das yum matha aalungala paathukonga. Innaiku na Bavani ya konne aaganum," my brother shouted in rage as we all stared at him.

Now, I'm sitting next to Das with my hands tied as he is driving. After I begged my brother not to kill Bavani, it's not for humanity; I don't want my brother to go to jail. My brother said, "Let's wait and see." Das also mentioned that he informed Bavani about me, and Bavani said to bring me to him. That's why I'm here, sitting next to him with my hands tied to make the plan believable.

Das and I still haven't talked, but I noticed he keeps glancing at me, and I can clearly see that he is nervous. As I look out of the window, I hear him clear his throat.

"En, enkitta sollala?" I heard him ask me.

"Ne enga enna pesa vitta, appadiye kadathittu vanthutta," I said to him, still looking out of the window.

"Enna manichudu," he said, and I felt it's genuine.

"Ennakku onne onnu sollu," I asked, turning to him. "Ennakitta thappa nadanthukavana konnavan ni. Aana ippo manasatchiye illama kutty pasangala," I stopped in mid-sentence as I saw his lips quivering.

"Na jail la irukum pothu romba kasta patta Bavani tha enna kapathuna, enna kudaye vachikitta appo ennaku theriyathu iva eppadi pattavanu. Na onna pathi avankitta sonna, avakitta othavi ketta unna kandu pidika solli avanu rendu moonu varam kalichu vanthu unna-" he stopped and gulped, then continued, "unna nasamaki konnutanganu sonna, ennala atha thangave mudila. Na oru masathuku paithiyum maathiri suthittu iruntha apram athu veriya maarichu avanugala kollanum nu thonuchu."

"So, ne avanga konnutta?" I asked, and he nodded, making me sigh. "Anthamathiri onnume nadakala. Ava onna nalla use panni iruka."

"Appo na iruntha nelamaiku avan kaatuna aalunga tha onna nasamakunaganu nenachi konnuta. Ippa yosichi paatha tha purithu avan enna payanpaduthi ava valila irukuravangala konnutu irunthurukanu," Das said, punching his steering wheel, making me jump as he noticed.

"Sorry, sorry," he asked me, and I sighed, realizing he became a monster because of me.

"Ennakku theriyum ne enna manika maatanu. Ne enna manikura varaikum na onkitta manipu kettukitte irupa. Na panna thappuku, nane poi surrender ayidura," he said, and I looked at him shocked because he is genuine.

"Na jail la irukum pothu enna pakka vantha mattum pothu," he said, and I turned my head away from him, closed my eyes, and covered my mouth using my hand as a smile spread, with tears forming in my eyes.

"Ennala udane ellathayum maranthuttu onnu nadakatha maathiri iruka mudiyathu. Ennakku time venum," I said to him.
