Elaine follows behind the group, all of them silent and sullen.
Their worst fears had come true.
The Final Battle.
It was about to commence.
How long had they been trying to stop it? How long had Wu tried to make sure no mention of the Overlord ever came to light again? How long had Elaine tried to defy destiny?
It was all for naught.
They all all failed. And because of this, Ninjago would falk. Their world would fall apart. People who lived every day happily and safely, would be dragged into this mess. They would suffer, they would lose and they're happiness would be gone.
Their world would not survive.
Elaine immediately spots Dr. Julien, stood by the Endless Sea's shore.
He walks towards them. "What was that sound? The horns?" He looks towards the now darkening sky.
Wu takes a sharp intake of breath. "The Celestial Clock has reached zero. Garmadon's ultimate weapon is now operational and the Final Battle between good and evil has all but begun." He spoke softly.
"Now Lloyd and Lianna must face their father." Misako spoke up.
Julien frowns. "But where's Nya?"
"She's been taken by the Overlord, but we'll get her back." Wu nods. "At the moment, there are bigger things at stake, including all of Ninjago itself."
Elaine narrows her eyes. "Don't say that, you old buffoon!" She snaps angrily, her eyes flashing.
Kai swallows hard. "And she's my sister. I know her being captured is tough, but she's tougher. Tougher than most of us." He nods, clenching his jaw. "We'll see her again."
"Lloyd, your focus gives strength to invoking the power of the Golden Dragon. And Lianna's focus on the Dragon form. You cannot lose faith now. Everything rests on your shoulders."
Elaine grits her teeth. They were only ten. She should have tried harder. Maybe, if she had hidden them somewhere else....the Final Battle wouldn't happen.
Lloyd shakes his head, his eyes filled with despair. "But Sensei, you saw what happened when I tried to face my father. I-I froze. I can't fight him."
Lianna clenches her jaw. "We can't do it!" She snaps.
Wu shakes his head. "You must. It is written in the scrolls."
"Fucking scrolls," Lianna mutters, crossing her arms.
