Elaine quietly stood next to Wu, watching as Dr. Julien finishes bandaging Lloyd's leg a few feet away.
The sky had significantly turned a bit dark, and the sand was all wet as they stood near the shore of the Dark Island.
"Can I still fight?"
Julien shakes his head as he answered. "Hmm, I'm sorry. That leg will take weeks to heal."
Lloyd frowns, standing up with his sister's help. "We don't have weeks." he grunts in pain.
"Take it easy," Lianna says, grabbing his shoulder. She helps him slowly walk towards where the rest of the group stood.
"Why is it always us?" Elaine mutters, playing with her hair anxiously.
Wu sighs, shaking his head. "I don't know."
A beat passes.
"The battle between good and evil will be decided today."
"And we can't even get to the fight, much less get off this island." Kai scowls, glaring out towards the horizon. The water looked endless, seeing as they were in the middle of nowhere.
"Ah. I wonder if I'll ever see Nya again."
Lianna glanced towards the Blue Ninja as he spoke up, she bites her bottom lip.
"Perhaps it's best to think of our friends as we remember them in our hearts, not as they are now." Zane states, shaking his head.
"But I don't remember our father any other way." Lloyd says, gesturing to Lianna, who shrugs.
"I barely remember anything,"
Elaine frowns. "You're father absolutely loved you. Even when he had been corrupted, he loved you."
Lianna breathes out. Her eyes take a look at their surroundings, they were still stuck on this stupid island.
Destiny would be decided today, as her Uncle said.
Kai grabs a rock. "Sensei, I don't understand. The prophecy said the Green Ninja would defeat the Dark Lord." He throws it towards the ocean. "Why didn't we win?"
Wu pauses. "I...don't know."
"Shocker," Elaine mutters, crossing her arms as she squirmed on her spot.
Jay's narrowed his eyes, spinning towards the old man. "Don't know? You're Sensei! You always know! You have a long white beard!" He snaps.
Kai shakes his head. "There must be some message to learn. A lesson. A word of wisdom. Just a word? Something." He mutters desperately.
