The Kronos Family were dead; that's what I was led to believe for nearly five years now. I was the last one left; my Family died with me on the day I lost everything and gained something better. I had thought I had left that life behind me, the torment and despair as I was led down a path I had no plan to follow.

Yet here we are, my past now on repeat; I was back to where I started, the Family alive and well, back in the same manner, under the same watch, expected to do the same thing. I had dreamed of this for years and feared it more than anything. This is what I was. I had nightmares about every day, and now I'm back...

I don't know how or why, but I cannot accept this reality. I refuse to imagine such an outcome.

The Kronos Family died, and I'll ensure they stay dead.

"Welcome home, Y/N, welcome to the Kronos Manor."

Beowulf opened the door. A group of maids and butlers was already waiting, bowing as the group of us entered.

"Welcome home, Master Y/N." They all said in unison. The uneasy feeling remained this whole time. I recognised many of the regular workers who practically raised me; none of them looked a day older than the last time I saw them. Even the Manor was no different; it was a carbon copy of what it used to be, like pulling it straight from a story.

Intricately carved oak panelling lines the walls of the grand foyer, where a magnificent chandelier casts a warm, inviting glow upon the polished marble floors below. Fancy furnishings, antique tapestries, and priceless artworks adorn every corner, each telling a story of the Manor's illustrious past.

Nothing really had changed.

The Kyoto Students all walked in in awe, amazed that Miwa was the first to speak up. "You didn't tell us you were filthy rich! I-I mean... This is a really nice estate you own, Y/N."

Beowulf smiled and nudged me, "Well, little bro, what's it like being home?"

"L-Like I never left... I don't understand; how is all of this still here? I've been gone for five years; I was under the impression the estate was sold off to the other families?"

"Of course not; even with the heir to the Kronos Family gone, we were still here preparing for your return. Well, everyone else was. I had only come back seven months after your disappearance. The news took me aback that you, of all people, had vanished. We had assumed the attempt on your life was... Well... Y'Know. Boy, am I glad we were wrong? It's so good to see you, little bro."

"Are you not going to introduce us, friend?" Todo questioned, still taking everything in.

"Right, sorry, everyone, this is my older sister, Beowulf Kronos; Beowulf, these are... My... Umm... Friends are a little strong... Classmates from the Jujutsu Sorcerer school in Kyoto."

Beowful hummed, inspecting everyone curiously. "I was told the Jujutsu Sorcerers had kidnapped you. We were quite tempted to storm the Council and take you back by storm, but we thought that would be a little rash. After all, the last thing we need is a war between the Jujutsu and Christian Sorcerers."

This took me by surprise, at least it would have if I hadn't already had my suspicions. I glanced at Beowulf with a small sigh. "So it's true then? Our Family is a part of the Christian Sorcerers of Europe?"

"We are; not only that but the Kronos Family is considered to be at the top as the most powerful and respected Family on the Council. It's similar to how the Gojo Clan are seen in Japan to the Jujutsu Sorcerers."

"W-Why wasn't I told about this?" I question, looking at all the other workers. "I was the heir to the Family, yet I wasn't even informed of the purpose of our wealth and status. How does that even work?"
