A Date

In a quiet AU where Error won't be easily recognized, we sat at a table waiting for our food.

Surely Error has never actually been to a restaurant because he tends to destroy the universe instead of actually exploring it.

He sits there perplexed as the waiter puts down two burgers in front of us.

"Don't forget to chew Error. You'll choke."

"Me and what nonexistent breath. I just swallow." He says stuffing the entire burger in his mouth.

I pull my hands over my face as I can see from the corner of my eye the massive amount of onlookers watching the entire situation play out.

I peer from behind my hand to see Error finish swallowing the entire burger down.

The waiter still standing at our table looks puzzled before saying.

"What an enthusiastic eater!" The waiter claps and the other patrons clap confused but they clap.

"Someone gets it." Error says with a smirk.

You will not ruin this date Error. I am determined for this date to go well.

"Pay attention Error," I start. "This is how you eat a burger."

I take up the burger and bite into it. Then I chew.

"Still don't get it." Error says before slurping his drink.

"But you know how to drink from a straw!"

"Wut, got a problem with it?" Error asks, innocently continuing to drink. "I told you that I only swallow."

"You know what... Never mind. Because you're going to drive me insane." I state crossing my arms.

After the date I follow Error back into the anti void. He looks through a window upset.

"What is the point." He suddenly says.

"Error?" I ask carefully knowing his emotions are as unpredictable as they come.

"What if I am never able to reach my goal?" He mutters.

I peek over his shoulder and watch as an AU is born.

"Are you upset about the birth of a new AU?" I ask.

He huffs and ignores my question.

"I want to destroy all of their pathetic existences. Wipe them clean from the face of reality." He starts.

"Then what? You would be all alone." I say.

"When my goal is completed I can finally rest... forever." He looks distant. "I have no living friends anyway. Who would miss me? My torment would be over."

My eye lights spark at the insinuating of suicide.

"Are you insinuating that you are going to kill yourself? That when everything is over you will see the other side? But what about the innocent lives you would have to take out for this goal of yours?"

"All are insignificant. In this world I have a job and it is to destroy. The amount will not change the amount of lives I have already taken."

"You don't have the right Error. There is much more to you, if only you could understand. You would have had friends Error."

"Let me remind you what happens when I 'try' to make friends." Error says.

Strings pull out a black colorful version of Blue.

My breath catches in my throat.

"No. You can't be serious." I have no words.

"He's never left and now he is just like the rest of my 'friends'."

"Maybe this time might turn out different." I whisper.

"Or with you dead. Just like all the rest." Error says finally looking at me.

"You don't know that Error!"

"You don't know yourself! You think you know me!"

"Shut up! You may not have much to live for, but there is no reason that you should destroy your chance at happiness just because of your past."

In our stance I pressed him down against his beanbag, my hands interlocked in his holding him down.

He takes the liberty to crash.
