Chapter 4

The next day.

They met at school and decided to do History Project on the French Revolution. As they only got a week to do it. Ana and Jungkook spent most of the time at the library to sort out Data. After collecting the data, they have to summarise it. And yes, of course! They continued to have their own debate during this time, even though they agreed to avoid fighting. On the 5th day, Ana was at the library, when Jungkook came and sat beside her and said, " Here is the Map of France in 1789. But how you gonna use it in the project? ".
Ana replied to him," Oh. Just wait and see."
Jungkook raised his eyes and said," Yeah, yeah. Sure. But hey! Don't mess this up!".
Ana frowned and said, "Jungkook, Guess what? I have the same request for you, too!"
Jungkook rolled his eyes at the statement and said,"Whatever!".
Ana stayed silent for some time and then she said, " Are you free today? Cause if you are free then I think we will be able to finish the project today. "
He said, " Yeah. I have no work after school.What do you want to do? ".
Ana said," Do you still have the glass surfaced table in your living room? "
Jungkook looked a little confused and said, " Yes, we still had it. But how did you know about that? "
Ana said, " I went to your house for a sleepover with Do-hee, when you weren't there. Well uncle and aunty knew about it."
He said with an embarrassed face, "Oh well. I see."
Ana said, " So? Can I come today? After school? "
He looked a little shocked as she wanted to go to his house. He didn't know what to answer her. So Ana spoke again, " Only if you are comfortable, I will go to your house. "
He looked at her for sometime and with a straight expression he said, "Fine. See you at 5 o' clock."

After school, at Jungkook's House.

As Ana knocked on the door, Jungkook opened the door for her. Ana went inside and asked, "Where is Do-hee?".
He said,"She went to attend a wedding ceremony with the family."
Ana said, " I see. Okay let's go then."
Saying that Ana went to the living room while Jungkook led the way. As Ana stood in the living room, she asked him if he had any white paper. He nodded and went to his room. A few minutes later he came back with some white sheets in his hand. He handed over those white papers to her and asked, " Don't tell me that you are going to take the impression of the Map."
Ana looked at him and nodded as yes. Jungkook looked at her disbelief and asked in a mocking tone , " And how? What are you a drawing master?".
Ana looked at him for a few seconds and said, " Well, I can draw."
Jungkook got taken back by this statement. So he hummed and asked her what he can do for now. Ana asked him to set the pages accordingly and I started to take the impression of the map on the white sheet. It took Ana more than an hour to make it more realistic. On the other hand Jungkook was also organising the papers accordingly. As Ana got a headache due to drawing for that long, she decided to take some rest. So she decided to ask Jungkook to take some rest too. Jungkook also agreed with her statement. So he stopped the work for some time. Ana wasn't sure if she should ask him or not but then I gathered some courage and asked Jungkook, "Hey, Can you turn the bright light off for sometime? I have no problem with the small lights."
Jungkook made a confused face and said, " And why should I do that? ". His tone was kind of rude. But Ana stayed calm and spoke again," I often get headaches if I do work in Bright lights. That's why I prefer less bright light or some dark place to take some rest. "
Jungkook's eyes softened a bit after hearing her but still he wasn't convinced. So he said, " Ok fine. But just for some time."
Ana noticed that Jungkook was hesitating to turn off the lights but still he did. Then Ana took off my glasses and rested her head on the couch while her hand was covering her whole face. Then he spoke out of nowhere, " Do you want some water? Or medicine? ".
For the first time Ana felt some softness in his voice. Ana said,"No, thanks", while maintaining the same position. After sometime Ana felt a little better. So she looked at Jungkook, who was surprisingly sitting next to her while resting is head on the couch with closed eyes . Ana said," I am feeling better now. What about you ? ".
He looked at her and said," I am good too. Let's finish the work then. "
Ana nodded at his response and they started to do the work again. 30 minutes later, they finally finished their project. They both felt relieved and Ana decided to leave. Ana was about to get up from the couch, when the whole house went dark. Ana stayed at her place as she didn't get what just happened . As the light went off, Ana heard Jungkook screaming at the top of the lungs," What happened!? Where are you, Ana!? Ana!?. Why is everything dark!?"
Ana said, "Stop screaming! I am here. Calm down. It's just an Electricity power cut maybe . Do you have a candle? ".
Jungkook calmed down a little after hearing Ana's voice so he said with a cooler tone," y-yes. We-we have candles."
I said, "Good. Go get them. I am here."
It was silent for a moment. Then Jungkook got a candle and a matchbox. Then he lit up the candle and placed it on the table. It was silent again when he said nervously , "Can you stay with me for a moment please? Until my parents come? Don't think of me as a scared cat. It's just-it's just, it will be boring to be alone here, in the dark".
Ana was a bit surprised by this request and found it funny too that our High School's Crush is afraid of the dark. Even though he tried to maintain his tough image, Ana was controlling her laugh while watching Jungkook like that.
She said," I see. It's okay. I can stay with you. But. What are we going to do now?"
He said, " what do you want to do? ".
I said with a smirk,"What about stories? Horror stories."
Jungkook said, " No!No! Don't you dare!".
Ana burst out of laughter like a pig, "Why? Don't tell me that you are afraid of Ghosts."
"I am not." He yelled.
"Then what was that?" Ana said while laughing.
Then she looked at Jungkook when he didn't respond back to me. When Ana looked at him, she found him looking at her. With his eyes, with his big doe, puppy eyes, he was kinda embarrassed and hurt as she came to know about his weak point. Ana's smile slowly faded, as her heart skipped a beat. The light of the candle landed on his face made his face even more mesmerized. Ana wondered, " How can a person's eyes look this beautiful? ".
Suddenly Ana understood what she was doing. So she immediately looked down and started to get nervous. "What will he think of me!? She yelled in her mind.
On the other hand, Jungkook also noticed Ana's behavior. He got confused as Ana looked down. He saw her lips trembling. Jungkook's eyes got fixed on Ana's lips and his gaze grew intense . Jungkook suddenly felt the same emotion, he felt at the football match. He saw how she was slightly trembling. He tried his best not to look at her with that intense gaze but he failed. The light rays of the candle fell on Ana's face to make her look more attractive. Ana also noticed that Jungkook was looking at her. But she didn't know what to do. So, she kept looking down trying to avoid any eye contact. He started to notice every single detail of her face,how the hairs were covering her eyes which were looking down, her uneven breaths. He called Ana by her name with a deep, raspy voice,"Ana." Jungkook noticed that she was avoiding eye contact. So he called her again,"Ana. Look at me."
Ana looked at him slowly and their eyes met, again. They stayed like that a few times. Ana felt like his gaze was intoxicating. Ana tried to look down, but this time she failed. Then he tucked back a hair behind her ear as it was covering her right eye. Ana felt like her heart was about to explode.
Jungkook was about to gwt closer to Ana when the electricity came back,which made both of them concious about their closeness.
