Here Choso was - at your door, you obviously expected an apology but it was obvious he expected the same from you. It may have been easier for you two to just apologize to each other - but you both were equally stubborn so the earlier argument just ended up resurfacing.

"I wanted you two to get along! You're both my friends!" you argued - though you didn't really want this to continue, you wanted things to go back to how they were, before.

His jaw was tense - he was clearly angry. He didn't want this either, but somehow he had turned this into an argument, you were both too difficult to take accountability. Somehow, what was supposed to be you two making up turned into a yelling match between the two of you, desperate to protect your pride.

"So you're blaming this all on me? You won't take responsibility?.. Tch.. honestly I thought you were different." His words stung like venom, you were both angry, furrowed brows, clenched fists. His eyes darted from yours to your lips before returning your gaze.

"What?" This was only getting worse - "What is that supposed to mean?"

"I've done so much for you." He shouted, loud enough to catch your roommates attention - the reason for this argument, she walked out of her room to the entrance to see you two arguing. This didn't make anything better, Chosos eyes narrowed and he let out a low growl "Whatever." He turned to leave, just like he did at the cafe.

"Choso, don't." You realized that you might have to be the one to give in - to apologize. But did you really want to get any closer with someone this difficult? Thoughts ran rampant through your head, you could only doubt him at this moment. "I'm sorry. It was my fault. I'm sorry."

He paused in his tracks - hearing you like this, hearing you this vulnerable, this desperate to not lose him. It made him feel guilty, but it also made him feel satisfied. He had you right where he wanted you, where he needed you. Though, Kaori was still present, which he couldn't stand. It was none of her business. She was too worried about you.

"Let's go, if you really want to talk." He didn't know where he would take you, he only wanted one thing, to get you away from 'the problem'. But he was so convincing.

You weakly waved at Kaori before following Choso out, he led you to his car which was filled with silence. You stared at your lap in the passenger seat - you said what you needed to say, it was his turn.

"You should move out." His statement had no hesitation, his gaze was fixed in front of him, the car stayed unmoving, though he could feel your gaze lift onto him.

"What?" You were in shock, he knew your current financial situation. Even if you wanted to move, you couldn't afford it.

"You live in an unsafe area, your house is too small to support both of you." Yes - he was worried about your safety, but he also had a more selfish reason for wanting you to move.

"I mean.. Yeah.. but I don't have that kind of money right now.. Where is this coming from anyways? I was just under the impression that you hated me." As the words left your tongue, his gaze snapped towards you.

"I don't.. Hate you.. I'm sorry, I took it too far." Relief washed over you - he was finally acting his age and taking responsibility, you were overthinking for nothing! "Move in with me."

'What..?'

You cleared your throat, you were surprised to hear him be so forward, it was a tempting offer though, you had seen his home, both of his homes. You shouldn't make any irrational choices though, but you should probably get away from your traumatizing neighborhood.. Right?

"I'll be fine, really." You were acting unusually nonchalant to his displeasure.

"The authorities still haven't found anything on the man who attacked you." (and they never will) "It's unsafe. Stay with me, just until we can be sure that you'll be safe." Your eyes locked, were his eyes always this alluring?

You trusted him, you didn't think he had any ulterior motives, he's a good guy. I mean - what are the downsides of moving in with him?

"Just until I get the money to find my own place then."
