Rain poured onto the canopy of the hut. The whole village gathered together. My mothers Tulkun has been murder by the sky people. I stood next to my sister as I shed a few tears. Those sky people didn't deserve any satisfaction, they deserved pain and suffer. Everyone was angered but grieving for the death of a Tulkun. We all wanted to get revenge but Jake sully had other ideas.
"My spirit sister and her baby have been murdered by the Sky people!" My mother announced as she grieved. I shed more tears, my mothers Tuklun was so kind hearted.
"This war has come to us" my father spoke after my mother, "we knew about this hunting of our Tulkun people over the horizon far away! Now it is here!"
Everyone started to snarl and hiss. Some even yipped. All I did was stay quiet next to Khola as he joined in. I cried my heart out wiping my tears. I didn't want war... Is this why Eywa was sending me signals? To prepare me, how could of I been so blind?!
"You gotta understand how the sky people think, They don't care about the great balance," Jake sully started but got interrupted by angered villagers ready for any war, "The sky people are not gonna stop. This is only the beginning, you gotta tell your Tulkun to leave. Tell them to go far away!"
"Leave?" My mother was flabbergasted, "You live among us, and you learn nothing!"
"We will fight to protect our brothers and sisters," cheered a villager.
"If you attack, if you fight, then they will destroy you! They will destroy everything that you love!" I knew Jake sully was having trouble but I understood him. I needed to do what ever is instructed but then Jake sully started again, "Hear my words!"
He grabbed a type of spear thing out of Neteyam's hands and showed it to all the savage villagers. I grabbed onto Khola's arm as he comforted me. What was that thing?! And what was it doing here?
"You tell the Tulkun that if their hit by one of these they're marked for death," my eyes widened as I let go of Khola's arm backing to the edge of the side walk, "and call for me I'll silence it. Saving their lives, that's all that matters. Right? Saving your family."
"Tell the Tulkun!" My father hesitated to say.
"Go," my mother repeated.
I dove into the water landing onto my Ilu riding off to tell my spirit sister. I was joined by Kiri and Tuk. I saw Satari in the distance as I climbed off of my Ilu swimming over to her.
"Sister, I bring sad news." I signed to her, "there are these pingers, they beep loudly. If you are hit by one there may be death. Please be safe and travel far from here. Only come back in the next migration"
Satari was sad and so was I. I gave her one last big hug. Kiri and Tuk joined in. Satari spoke her last words to me before leaving with the rest of the herd so she was not lost. I signed to her one last time saying goodbye. Me, Tuk and Kiri got back on our Ilu and rode around the village as we talked. Eywa was the main subject.
