North knocked on the door and frowned when he heard some banging and soft cussing as the door opened. He inhaled seeing a small thing of a woman in a wet light purple shirt and blue jeans with brown eyes and wet brown hair pulled back. "Yes?" She asked confused and slightly embarrassed.

"Are you Mrs. Emerson Ma'am? I'm North Taylor of Taylor Construction," He said clearing his throat. "I'm here to discuss the roof repairs on a barn." He pointed to the man next to him who had remained silent. She noticed they both had dark eyes and dark hair but Mr. Taylor dressed in all black while the silent one had blue jeans and a white shirt on. "This is my brother Silas Korba, he helps occasionally."

"Oh shit, sorry," She blushed, "yes, I'm Audrey Emerson and it's Miss. I'm so sorry my ring dropped down my sink and I was trying to get it. Please come in, give me like two seconds," she took a step back and pulled the door open even more so they could enter.

"I own a plumbing company," Silas said softly. "I can get your ring for you if you'd like. It's no problem at all. I already have an idea of where it is."

"I don't know...." She trailed off biting her lip.

"No cost, promise," He smiled and they saw a look of relief quickly pass over her before she masked her face back to smiling.

"Fine but only if you are really sure it's not a problem."

"Promise," He smiled while nodding, "Where's your kitchen?"

"Right through those doors," She said, pointing to some halfway open pocket doors. "I appreciate it, I'll be right back." She raced up the stairs and they looked at one another before Silas slid the doors open even more before entering the kitchen.

A few minutes later she came back downstairs in dry jeans and a black tee shirt tucked in. "He's in there," North said pointing to the kitchen. She entered and saw Silas coming out from under her sink with a curved pipe in his hand. He tilted it into his other hand and sure enough her ring fell into his hand. He grinned and handed it to her.

"There you go. Now your boyfriend won't get mad at you," He said as he got back under the sink and started putting it back together.

"Oh, it's not from my boyfriend," She smiled as she grabbed a paper towel and some sort of cleaning supplies and then started cleaning it. "It was my great-grandmother's wedding ring. She passed it down to me after I graduated school. Thank you so much."

"No problem," He said turning on the water to make sure there was no leaking then turned it back off. "There you go, good as new."

She slid the ring onto her ring finger on her right hand and smiled. "Great, now would you like to see the fight between the tree and barn?"

"Yes," North chuckled making her slightly blush.

"Right this way Gentlemen," She said leaving the kitchen and started walking down the hallway.

"You have a nice place, Miss Emerson," Silas said looking around.

"Thanks, it's been in my family for generations," She said fondly. "I think it was built in the early 1800's if I remember correctly but I could be wrong. I just know one of my so many great grandmother's father built it and the farm has just been passed down since then." She opened the back door, "Course it's undergone some renovations to stay up to date, but it's still kept as authentic as possible. Sentimental I know but still."

"That's understandable," North nodded. "Wow, how much land do you have out here?" He asked as he took in open land as far as he could see. There were horses in the distance walking around grazing along with some cows and maybe even some donkeys or goats.

"Thankfully it wasn't the animal's barn that was affected by the storm," She said as she stepped off the porch, "It was one just storing feed and equipment for now. Come on, they won't bother you." She walked them over to the barn and North let out a whistle seeing the tree halfway through the barn. "Safe to say it's going to be a lot of work, isn't it?"

"It's not going to be done in a day, I can tell you that much," He admitted. "I have a large family that will be more than glad to help out to get it done quicker."

"Can you roughly give me an estimate first?" She asked.

"DOC EM!!!" A voice shouted back towards the house. "HELP DOC EM!!!"
