Thailand: May 1950

The coronation ceremony of the new king is about to take place in a few days. Preparations were taking place and the people involved are busy with their task.

Everyone except Meena. The performer who was tasked sing during the celebration.

The performance needs to be perfect but the singer haven't started practicing yet, worst, she didn't have a song in mind just yet.

She partied hard the night before and went home late. The very reason why she is still sleeping in her bed at 10 in the morning.

"Meena! Meena!"

A panicked voice was shouting from outside of her bedroom door but Meena did not respond. The door was forcefully opened from the outside revealing a much older woman whose face is full of agitation. She hurriedly walked towards the bed and yanked Meena's arm in an effort to wake her up.

"Wake up you silly girl!"

Praya, Meena's sister is already in a very bad mood after receiving a message from the organizer of the coronation that her sister was once again missing during the rehearsal.

"We will be casted out of Thailand because of you!"

Praya said in anger while stille trying to pull Meena up from the bed. Meena slightly opened her eyes and groaned.

"I said I didn't want to do it."

She said in frustration. She declined the invitation but the government won't take no for an answer. Meena is a free spirited young woman and she did not want people telling her what she can and can't do.

"If you do not want to, I guess you should just leave Thailand forever!"

Praya said before letting go of Meena's arm. Meena went back to bed and turned her back on her older sister.

"I might just do that if you keep on pushing me to do things I didn't want to do."

She said in a hoarse and sleepy voice. Praya gave a loud shriek in her frustration and walked out of the room. She slammed the door so hard that the walls quivered.

A few days after. The day of the coronation.

Meena was forced to perform for the new king. She was not happy about it but for the sake of her family's reputation, she obliged.

She was on stage that day. In front of a lot of people. Singing. When she saw her for the very first time.

A beautiful woman was standing in the middle of the crowd. Her hair as black as a moonless night, her eyes so beautiful she's drowning in them and those lips...

The woman smiled at her and her heart skipped a beat. She continued the song but her gaze was fixed on the woman. She found the woman's clothing a bit strange. She is wearing a white collared shirt, that is why she stood out.

She ended the song with eyes closed and when she opened them, the woman was no longer standing where she used to be.

Meena couldn't sleep that night. She was standing outside of the veranda of her room drowning in thoughts of the woman.

Suddenly a cold breeze blew making her shiver. She rubbed her arms and decided to go inside of her room. She turned around and saw her.

The woman from the coronation. She was standing in front of her. Smiling.

She was wearing the same white collared shirt and jeans.

Meena felt like she was drawn to the woman. She was not even scared of the fact that someone is standing inside of her room in the middle of the night.
