Charlotte darted out of her room when she heard Engfa. She immediately rushed beside her and held her in her arm. She lost consciousness but she's okay. Her face is a little pale and her body is cold.
"The ancients called out to her. She'll be okay."
Charlotte said before putting Engfa's arm over her shoulder. Kiko helped her put Engfa to bed so she can recover. Charlotte stayed with her while Kiko and Becky tried to figure out the meaning behind the runes written on the pyramid.
"Charlotte."
Charlotte looked at Engfa. She is sitting on the bed beside her. Engfa's eyes are still closed. Charlotte put her palm on her forehead trying to connect to her. She closed her eyes.
"There you are. Eva."
She mumbled while her eyes are still closed. Charlotte smiled before opening her eyes and removing her palm from Engfa's forehead. As if on cue, Engfa's eyes slowly opened. She looked around the room until finally seeing Charlotte beside her. She sat down on the bed and then leaned her head on the headboard.
"I feel like I have a hangover. My head is spinning."
Engfa said. Her voice a little husky. Like she is about to get a bad sore throat. Charlotte put her arm around her shoulder so she can massage Engfa's temples. Engfa did not open her eyes but she smiled.
"Thanks. I'm feeling a little better already."
She said while her eyes are still closed. They were silent for a while.
"I keep on dreaming about you."
Engfa said suddenly as if remembering the dream she just had.
"What about Heidi."
Charlotte said and then bit her lip as if realizing that it's a bad idea to bring her up.
"What about her?"
Engfa asked before opening her eyes to look at Charlotte. Charlotte removed her hands from Engfa's temple before answering.
"Do you dream about her sometimes?"
Charlotte said. Engfa did not answer immediately then she slowly shook her head.
"I don't think I ever dreamed of her."
Charlotte smiled widely. Engfa looked at her in the eyes.
"Do we know each other? I mean, before. I just... I feel like..."
Engfa mumbled. She seems to not be able to find the right words.
"Like you know me? Like we have spent a lot of time together?"
Charlotte finished it for her. Engfa just nodded in agreement. Charlotte's face lit up before answering.
"If I tell you, would you believe me?"
She asked. Engfa bit her lower lip. She did not answer but her face shows that she's considering it.
"Try me."
Engfa said instead. Charlotte's smile vanished and her face turned serious. She told Engfa everything. Engfa just listened in silence and when Charlotte finished her story, she just sat there looking at her.
"I need to process all that for a while."
Engfa said. Charlotte just nodded and then stood up from the bed.
