Freen's POV
I was awakened from my peaceful sleep by a bad dream. I sat sweating on my king sized bed still dizzy from the dream I just had. It was the same dream I had ever since I was a kid.
Me and two others were inside a room that looked like a museum. We were fighting a man in a ninja uniform and then suddenly we were sucked my something from under our feet. The feeling of being thrown around endlessly still lingers on my body, making me shiver.
I stood up from my bed and took my silk bathrobe to cover my body. I took the glass of water sitting on top of my bed side table and drank from it before walking to the large glass door that opens up to a veranda. My house is situated on top of a hill, giving me a wonderful view of the ocean below.
The full moon is shining brightly over the sea. It's hauntingly beautiful. The cold breeze that's blowing is giving me chills. A few week from now and I will be a married woman. The wedding preparation is starting to take a toll on me and Seng is unusually uncooperative.
I inhaled deeply letting the scent of the sea into my lungs. I held on to the cold metal of the veranda and closed my eyes.
Suddenly an image of a woman desperately holding out her hand to me came to my mind. Her brown hair are flying in every direction and her warm hazel brown eyes pleading. I immediately opened my eyes and shrugged the image away before going back to bed.
I have an early appointment tomorrow.
"So?"
I blinked several times as if waking up from a dream and looked at the man in front of me. Seng was asking something but I didn't hear it because my mind is drifting back to that face.
"Sorry, what?"
I said softly. Seng's face registered annoyance. He put down the fork he was holding before wiping his lips with a napkin. We were having lunch after our appointment with the event coordinator.
"Your mind seems to be somewhere else today."
He impatiently said. I took the goblet of water from the table and took a sip.
"Sorry. I'm just tired."
I said shortly. He huffed before pushing his chair away from the table to stand up. Typical Seng. I watched him walk away from the table, leaving me alone. I stood from my chair and hurriedly followed him to the parking lot.
"Do you always have to do that?!"
I asked when we reached his car. He unlocked it before answering.
"I can't do this right now. I'm also tired!"
I don't know what's gotten into him. He entered his car and slammed the door. I rode the car and stayed silent while he drive to the studio where I will have my photo shoot.
"Things are already stressful as it is. Why do you have to be like this?"
I asked him. He just snorted sarcastically before shaking his head like he did not want to hear it.
"You're the problem. I feel like communicating with you these days is impossible."
He said. I turned to face him.
"Me? We were okay just this morning and now this?"
I asked him. I can see him grip the steering wheel tighter. He is usually calm but after the engagement I feel like I am seeing a different Seng. Like he is totally different person.
