It felt like time stopped and the world crash down on Senku as he looked at Michelle, his eyes widen still in shock knowing what this means to everyone but what he saw on Michelle's face almost pain him more than he thought. She looked at him almost with a smiling face as if she excepted the outcome already yet as best as she tried her eyes showed differently, the deep sadness could be seen thru her eyes as for Ruth he didn't look happy either that his ears and tail hang lower then it should be knowing the pain of his mother.

Senku POV:

Looking at her face seeing she's already excepted this outcome had me think more. -Did she also calculate the outcomes I could have won instead the others? Who am I kidding course she would have. Ever since we started living together she always plans even 7 steps a head of me even the negative in case what to do an in emergency.- for just a moment my mind seem to go blank and my body cold even if others were still talking I didn't pay attention to anyone at all only that I heard my name being the winner along side me being Ruri's husband to be.

-So that's it then… she calculated what could happen during the games… and if she has already except it then I don't have much of a choice now do I?- taking a deep breath to calm my nerves the villagers was still not sure to be happy about this or not? As I saw Ruri coming down mostly to see me I bet, -Uggh things seriously got complicated.- I walked up to her not even showing a lick if emotion that I cared even if she was shaking and blushing as we locked eyes I already knew what I had to do at this point. I sigh a bit as I put my hands on my waist and just seem more serious “If I marry you Ruri… means I obtain the village right?... Fine then I'll do it.”

I could see in the corner of my eye Kohaku and Suika where shocked, well mostly Kohaku more than anyone else still at the moment I couldn't really care as I looked at the father as he yelled at me, it was amusing to see how he protested “HOLD IT SENKU we're did you even come from huh!!? You’re an outsider we can't have you become our chief.” “My my~ if it isn't the former village Chief himself. To be truthful I don't have one millimeter of interest of your lack of approval.” I reply back while picking my left ear seeing I have to say it was almost entertaining to see how steam he was getting.

None POV:

Seeing as Senku and the former chief now known as Kokuyou for Ruth it was rather amusing for Michelle she wasn't sure as the villagers weren't sure how to except the outcome? As some kinda excepted even a bit reluctantly while others were not sure how to decide… still seeing this Michelle could only shake her head a bit in disapproval do to the up roar of the situation and how both Senku and the Ex – Chief where somewhat bickering amongst themselves. *Well what will you do now he's married to another human. Would you still be with him mother?*

She only smiled at Ruth and pet him lightly *Sure why not there are countless marriages that have different outcomes some where they are married but each have there own lover. In this case even if Ruri doesn’t love Senku but wants Chrome I can see him allowing it seeing he wouldn't want to be bother by it. But he will still hold some responsibility of being her husband… and he could do the same if he still wants me as his partner.* Ruth knew to be true seeing he's a already heard or witness some marriages like that and gathering the fact she would marry someone else who won't be human it be fair if you think of it. But doesn’t mean he can't see her pain and sadness which in time would die later “Object all you want, a win is a win. So chop chop bring the winner his booze!”

Hearing that from senku had Kohaku, Kaseki, Ruth and Michelle look at him surprised beyond belief and if Michelle was drinking water she would had spit it out on the spot “SENKU!!” Michelle called out horrified “CAN you not!” “he sounds like one those old drinkers that can't get his fill!” Kohaku started and Kaseki ended seeing Michelle had to agree actually she grew more pale seeing the heavy drinker in the family was her uncle and her own sister who got addicted to wine at age 13 along with poison.
