I turn and see that Scott is standing at the top of the stairs - I have no idea how he ended up there, but I'm glad he's here. I was worried that he wouldn't show up, and that I would have to show my true colors in front of Derek and Peter by saving Jackson.

Scott jumped off of the stairs and lunged at Derek. He shoved him away from Jackson and placed himself between Derek and Jackson. I stumble backwards, out of the way of Derek and Jackson's face-off.

Derek bares his fangs. "Move!" I flinch at his aggression.

"No." Scott growls back.

Derek shakes his head. "Fine. I'll kill you too." No!

I rush forward, grab Scott's arm and pull him behind me. Despite my sworn loyalty to Derek and Peter, there was no way I would let them lay a finger on Scott. Derek lets out a low growl, but his gaze is focused on Scott.

"Move." He says, this time much calmer.

"No." My voice wavers slightly so I repeat it, "No. Pick a side, Derek."

Derek's eyes narrow at me. "I already picked a side." that was a lie.

"I don't believe that you would help your sister's murderer. He's going to betray you; he's going to betray us!" I insist.

Derek straightens and turns to face the door. I frown as I watch him and then he's barreling forward, shouting at me to get down as he tackles me to the floor. Arrows embed themselves in the walls around us and Derek keeps me on the ground until the coast is clear.

Scott is slouched against the wall, holding his hand to his chest. Oh my god. I look to see that an arrow is sticking out of his chest, Derek notices this as well as he moves forward and breaks the arrow in half. Scott cries out and Derek puts pressure on his wound as I scoot over to where they are against a wall.

"Who are they?" I whisper.

"Hunters." Derek responds. "You were right. Peter set us up."

The door slams open and hunters enter the house, firing their weapons. We duck behind the wall closest to us and I look around for Jackson, where the hell did, he go? Jackson is nowhere in sight and had likely made a run for it the moment the shooting started.

"Keep the pressure right there, okay?" Derek asks me, I do as he says, too stunned to do anything else.

Derek disappears for a few moments, and I hear loud grunts and screams. He must be taking down the hunters that had come after us. I can only imagine where Diego is right now, hearing all of this, God if he gets hurt. . .

Derek appears by my side once more, hands bloodied as he presses them against Scott's wound again, replacing my hands. Scott isn't in good shape, by the looks of it. And I have no idea how to treat a wound from an arrow!

Derek turns to me. "I'll hold them off, get yourself and Scott out of here." He tells me.

"Derek, no - " I grab his arm. "I'm not leaving you behind for you to fend for yourself!"
