"Tristan is kinda creeping me out."
I look at Mimi biting the end of the straw instead of just being a normal human being and use it to drink her whatever the name of the drink she ordered.
"Why? Did he unknowingly enter your house through the window and watch you sleep all night?"
*Pak*
"What the heck Sam! That is sooooo creepy!"
I roll my eyes and rub my arm that she so gently slap. Note the sarcasm please.
"You said it yourself that he's creepy."
She huff annoyed for whatever reason.
"Not that type of creepy. What I mean is he is creeping me out just secretly taking a glance at you any minute or two. Like can he just straight up go to you and tell you what is wrong with you?"
I roll my eyes again. I don't know how many times I roll my eyes today. I won't be surprise if said eyes would be stuck at the back of my head someday. That just how I felt everytime I'm with Mimi—not making any sense.
"People are different from one another. Not because you think a certain way doesn't mean other should also think the same. We learned that from our ED subjects Mimi. Are you sure you're listening in class?"
She slurp her drink and avoid me by looking anywhere the canteen except me. I end the conversation with giving a comfortable silent between us.
I look at my surroundings and grimace at the couple who I seems to always notice everytime— in our department lounge, in the university care center, in the clinic, in the students assistant office, in cafeteria, in the library, outside the gate, just everywhere I guess. Not that I grimace because I'm grossed out or anything, it just that why do they have THAT person in life and I don't have? Am I gonna live alone or gonna die with a severe trauma for not getting laid or just gonna die looking at the sunset alone in my wheelchair and just dramatically smiling and my heart would stop beating and I am talking nonsense again so I'm just gonna stop here.
"Hi Sam!" Tristan wave shyly and I also wave robotically. He stumbly leave the cafeteria and childishly chuckle. What a weird pal he is.
"See? Kinda creepy person." Mimi whisper and eat his sandwich when I look at her like she spurt a micro fingers on her fingers.
"You're the creepy one for noticing that about him. You noticed it because you are also looking at him." I pointed that out at her but she just shrug and continue to ignore me even though she's the first one who initiated a conversation with me.
