Chapter3: Gig

The elevator doors swung open and we all walked out to hitch a cab. After what felt like hours we finally got a cab and we all packed in to it.
Once settled and on our way to McDonalds Caroline kept smirking at me, I just huffed an tried to ignore her.
"What do you want?" I finally asked her annoyed at constantly being stared at.
"Are you gonna message him? omg what if they hookup" She fired out loud like a machine gun.
"WHAT IF THEY HOOKUP! Sarah do you think-" Taylor jumped in.
"No, nothing's going to happen. Remember I just ended a relationship like a month ago. Right now he's just a guy I met, nothing more" I shot back pulling out my phone and unlocking it.
I open up my Twitter app and click to reply to Calums dm.
"Yeah! can't wait to hear you guys play! :)" I quickly replied closing to app and shutting my phone off.
The cab pulled into the parking lot and coming to a halt at the doors. We all pay the cab before jumping out onto the sidewalk.
I enter in the fast food chain and instantly hear the thick Australian accents filling the restaurant. I walk up to the counter, my hands begin to clam up. I hated talking to strangers, or even ordering food made me nervous. Babyish I know right?
"what can I get for you?" The older girl asked not even looking up.
"Hi uh, can I get a cheeseburger with a small coke?" I ask nervously considering she seems really snooty.
"Yeah, is that all?" She asks punching in the order.
"Yes" I say digging into my purse to try and find my wallet. I pulled it out and put my credit card into the machine.

After everyone ordered and got their food, we sit down at a table and eat.
"Not gonna lie, I'm pretty pumped to see this band... 5 seconds of summer" Annie speaks up while taking a bite of her sand which.
"me too! the lead singer guy is pretty hot" Taylor says smirking at me.
I squirmed, uncomfortable talking about the whole Calum situation, he just makes my stomach all jittery.

"Yeah uh, can't wait" I said while taking a drink of my coke. The conversation pretty much died after that, I continue eating when my phone vibrated on the table. A DM from Calum again...

"The guys were wondering if you and your friends wanted to come hangout in our hotel room after our little gig. Hope you can, I wanna get to know you more! xx"

I immediately freeze up, the other girls stop and look at me.
"Are you okay?" Caroline asked looking really concerned.
"Yeah- Yeah I'm fine. Calum just asked if we wanted to hangout with them after their gig that's all" I reply picking up my phone and unlocking it.

"Seems like fun to me" Annie says picking up her garbage and walking over to the bin. I looked at the time.
"Shit! we should get going their gig starts in 10" I say grabbing my purse and standing up from the booth.

"A cab will take to long, it wasn't that far of a walk... if we speed walk it we should make it" Taylor says walking out of the restaurant.
After speed walking through the heart of Sydney and back to the hotel we make it just in time.
"Hello.. we are 5 seconds of summer were gonna play a couple of our songs and a couple covers" Luke says into the mic before spotting us in the crowd.
He turns to Calum hinting to look in our direction.
His eyes met mine and I could instantly feel my cheeks blush red. A huge smile spread across his face before his band mate introduced the first song.
"This is called, Gotta Get Out" Michael says strumming the first couple chords of the song.
I found a table pretty up close to the stage and waved the others to come join, I kept making eye contact with Calum during the whole song.

After their half an hour gig they exit of the stage and come meet up with us
"You guys are pretty good" Annie smirks at Michael. Obviously a little flirting there.
"Thanks for coming out guys. Means a lot" Ashton says as Calum walks up to the group.
I stood up an walked over to him, wow was he taller than I thought.
"You were so amazing Calum" I say his eyes meeting mine. He walked over to me and pulled me into a hug.
"I'm so glad you came" He whispered into the crook of my neck which sent chills down my spine. I wrapped my arms around his torso and just took in his presence.
After a couple seconds I pull away to see everyone starting with a stupid smile across their faces.

"For fuck sake" I hear Calum murmur under his breath.
"So you guys coming to party with us?" Ashton asks breaking the awkward silence.
"Will there be alcohol?" I ask looking at Ashton as a smile creeps upon my face.
"What's a party without it?" Michael says smirking at Annie who just slaps him and agrees that we will go hangout or party or whatever they call it down here, with them.
I entered the elevator as Calum and the rest of them filed in. His hand brushes mine causing my heart to skip, he looks at me before asking.

"So how long are you guys here for?" the boys look at us frowning, thinking the same thing.
"Well were in this hotel for a week, than a rental house for 3 months" Taylor answers coldly, looking Calum dead in the eyes.

"Oh so you guys are here for a while" Luke says looking at Taylor like an excited puppy.
"Yeah, sadly" I answered sarcastically looking at Calum and playfully rolling my eyes.
"Hey that's not nice" He frowns jutting his bottom lip out making a puppy face.

I laughed at his silly behaviour as the elevator comes to a stop and everyone gets out. Calum stops just outside the door and I stop to see what's wrong.
"Well since your gonna be here for a while, I will need your number" He says pulling out his phone and giving it to me.
I quickly type in my name with a red heart emoji cause why not and put my number in.
"There you go" I smirk handing his phone back and watching his face light up at the sight of my contact name.

"In all seriousness I'm so glad your friend ran into my room door, I've never met someone so perfect" He said to me looking right into my eyes. His brown eyes sparkling and a huge smile spread across his face showing little wrinkles under the corner of his eyes.

"Awe Calum that's so sweet... I-uhm really do appreciate it, but I just got out of a really bad relationship. I-I don't wanna rush anything" I say looking down at my feet nervous to look him in the eyes.
"Well it was his loss" he replies cupping his hands against my cheeks and kissing me on the forehead.
