Vanraj kept on holding Anupamaa's hands and there was silence.
"Anupamaa... Relax... Maine tumse ki abhi tak koi bhi bacche ki baat aaj tak kabhi bhi!? Bataao tum mujhe...", he asked.
"V..o... Ma.in..."
"Kamre me chale...!"
"Nahi nahi plea..j... Room me kyun? K..yun... Kyun... K.ya kar.ne...", she fumbled.
"Baat karne! Tum ye baat yahan chhat par karna chaahti ho!? Not in some place more private??", he asked.
"H.aan vo... H.aan..."
"To aao chalo..."

Manik's phone beeped and he checked. He though fumed but couldn't react as he had taken Arunimaa's head in his lap.
"Mani... What happened?", Manini asked noticing subtle change in his expressions.
"It's Vikram's text... He had withdrawn his case against Anuj... Anuj is free now...", he told.
Though they all were relieved to hear it but with Arunimaa still faint nobody actually felt like rejoicing at the news. Manini was going mad thinking Vikram even dared wrong Arunimaa.
Manik checked Arunimaa's purse and drew out her cell to text Anupamaa.
'Thodi der baahar aaogi kuch baat karni hai. Aana to message kar dena.'
He shut the phone.

Vanraj locked the door and Anupamaa's heart was thumping.
"Baitho na yahan...", he patted on bed.
"Aap bacche ka pleasj ni bolenge na abhi aap b-"
"Arey tum baitho to pehle...", he pulled her and she sat. "Ye lo paani piyo...", he offered her a glass.
She gulped it all down. "Ab boliye na... Aap n-"
"Maine aaj tak kabhi bhi tumko bola kya bacche ke liye!?"
"Ni... Vo.."
"Force kiya ki tumhe ab baccha karna hi hai!?"
She nodded no.
"So why are you behaving as if main tumse jabardasti karne waala hoon bacche ke liye when you are not prepared... Ye ummeed ni thi mujhe tumse... Tum mere baare me aisa sochti h-"
She instantly covered his mouth. "Sshh!! Ni... Bilkul bhi ni... Suri aapko aisa laga to... Bas main vo... V..o...."
"To ye sab kya soch rahi ho... Mere to mann me bhi ni thi ye bacche ki baat... Khud hi baat shuru kar ke khud hi darr rahi ho ab..."
"Ni... Vo... "
"Nahi hum abhi financially bhi bacche ke liye ready nhi hain... So not now... Abhi mind makeup hi ni kiya hai...", he held her hands and kissed it. "Thoda stability aa jaaye to... Sochte hain na... Aur tab tak tum bhi mentally prepare kar lena khudko... Okay??"
Seeing no reply from her side, he kissed her cheeks.
"Ab to bolo..."
"Vo... V..o...", she blushed.
"Nahi bologi to dekho mujhe bahut tareeke aate hain bulvaane ke...", and his fingers tickled her waist.
"Aaah... Ni...", she laughed. "Nhi gudgudi nhi..."
