KARTIKEYA'S POV
I closed the screen and swiveled my chair to face the expansive skyline of the city from my office. The sun was still up. I stood from my chair and walked to the glass-length wall, pushing my palms into my pants pocket, looking down at the running cars on the roads below.
I'm doing my best to find those two bastards who groped her in the mall, but it seems like someone was behind them. It's not possible that some random person came and did all this with masks on. My instincts tell me it was all planned, but the question is, who could be behind it?
That's why I have arranged for a bodyguard near her. My house was safe, still, I don't want to give a chance to anyone to break in and hurt her. Neil is my trusted man, and I'm very sure he'll keep her safe.
It couldn't be her father; he was a scoundrel, but I don't think he would go to such lengths to lose money from me at that time. Now, I've cut off the money myself.
Before our marriage, he was expecting financial support, so he doesn't seem to be the culprit. Also, I found nothing suspicious after rechecking her and her family's contacts.
My thoughts were interrupted by a knock on the door. I turned to allow whoever was at the door to enter. Raj stepped in, and I sat in my chair. He passed me the tablet and said, "Sir, here are the copies of the file and the demand for the property."
"Hard copies?" I asked, scrolling through the PDF files.
"Yes, sir. The hard copies are ready as per your instructions. I've also prepared a summary for your convenience," Raj replied, maintaining a professional tone.
