Song: Chasin' You by Morgan Wallen

Warnings: Fluff

Just So You Know: You have a huge crush on Ponyboy. You are 14, he is 15.

I was super worried. It was 2 in the morning and Ponyboy still hadn't come home. Darry, Soda and I were sitting in the living room waiting for Pony to come home. When I finally heard the front door open, and saw Pony enter the room, I breathed I sigh of relief.

"Where the hell you been, Ponyboy?" Darry asked him, dropping his newspaper.

"I fell asleep with Johnny at the lot. Lost track of time." Ponyboy responded, going into the bathroom.

"You what?" Darry responded, annoyed. "You know how dangerous it is out there, Pony?"

"Yeah. I didn't mean to." Pony said.

"The hell with that!" Darry said. "I'm sick and tired of waiting for you all the time Ponyboy!" Darry added, raising his voice.

"Hey, Darry, just calm down-" Soda started. Darry turned around to face Soda.

"And I'm tired of you sticking up for him all the time!" Darry yelled at Soda.

"DON'T YOU YELL AT HIM!" Ponyboy yelled at Darry. Darry flung around and smacked Ponyboy right across the face. He fell, and quickly got up. He ran out the front door.

"Pony-" Darry said regretfully. I chased after Ponyboy.

"Ponyboy!" I screamed. He stopped in the middle of the road, looked at me sadly, shook his head and kept running. I sunk to my knees and sobbed.

"He's gone, Darry. Why did you have to hit him?" I asked, shaking as Soda hugged me.

I woke up the next morning and the house seemed very still. Darry gestured at the newspaper. I read the headline.

Greaser Boys Wanted for Murder of Bob Sheldon

Underneath was a picture of Ponyboy and Johnny.

"Oh my god. Oh my fucking god." I said, sinking into the kitchen chair. I sat there and soon went looking for the boys. I knew they couldn't have gone far. I decided to talk to Dally.

I knocked on Buck's door.

"Can I help you?" He said, looking me up and down. I frowned as Dally came to the door.

"What's up?" He said, leaning against the door frame.

"I was just wondering if you heard anything from Ponyboy and Johnny?" I asked him. He shook his head.

"Nah. Worried?" He asked me. I nodded.

"Thanks anyways, Dal." I said, walking away. I spent the whole day, 10:00 am to 11:00 pm looking for them. I collapsed in the lot and fell asleep.

<Ponyboy's POV>

I spent my days at the church thinking about Y/N. She really didn't want me to leave. I found myself thinking about her smile and adoring laugh. I couldn't help but blush at the thought of her.

I was so relieve when Dally entered the church.

"Hey, Dal." I said, standing up with Johnny.

"Hey guys. Here's a letter for a Ponyboy Michael Curtis." Dally said, handing me a letter.

"Who's it from?" I asked.

"President of the United States." He answered, and I raised my eyebrows. "I'm serious!"

"Your brother Sodapop." He said, finally. I opened it.

Dear Ponyboy,

I really want you to come home. Might as well turn yourself in. Darry's really sorry that he hit you. And Y/N is a mess. She looks for you guys all day. She don't laugh no more, she don't eat and she don't smile. I think she really loves you, Ponyboy. Come home.

Your brother,

Sodapop

So Y/N misses me. Fuck. I thought to myself. I really screwed up this time. She'll probably just see me as a murder accomplice now.

I was heading over to the Curtis' house. I wanted to talk to Two-Bit about him wanting to drive down to Texas to find Ponyboy and Johnny. But when I entered the house, I saw Ponyboy standing in the kitchen, with a pan in his hand. I dropped my purse and water bottle and just stared. He made eye contact with me, and we stared at each other for what seemed like hours.

He bolted at me and wrapped his arms around me. I returned the embrace. I cried into his shoulder.

"Y-you don't know w-what the h-h-hell you did to me, P-pony. I was w-worried sick, man." I said, sobbing. He caressed my back.

"Do you love me, Y/N?" He asked, letting go of me and looking me in the eyes. I nodded slowly, looking at my feet.

"So much, Pony." I whispered, just enough for him to hear. He wrapped his arms around me again and pressed his lips against mine in a gentle kiss. They were so soft. He pulled away from me. I smiled, and he smiled too. I pressed my lips back onto his, and we shared a more passionate kiss this time.

"Y/N, will you be my girl?" He asked, rocking back and forth. I nodded and pressed my lips back against his. He smiled against my lips and tilted his head. I pulled away.

"Don't ever leave me like that again, Ponyboy Curtis." I say.

"I won't." He says, kissing me again.
