Authors note: this chapter is supposed to be based off the project Alhaitham and Kaveh did in the Akademiya where they had their falling out. Im going to add extra stuff just to make this more sad muhahahaha

So this is angst :) you've been warned... (I like angst I'm sorry)

Alhaitham Pov:

It was a day like any other...

"HAITHAMMMMMM!"

Ah yes... The plentiful shouts from an annoying blonde...

Suddenly I see the blonde smash some papers down on my work.

"Look! I found this ancient text that seems to be about mechanics! But um... I need help deciphering it and you're the only person I know in Haravatat..." Kaveh said.

"So?" I asked putting the papers next to me.

"Please. Work with me..?" Kaveh asked in a pleading tone.

I sighed as I looked around not seeing anyone to help me in this predicament.

"Fine... But only because we're friends. Maybe If the Akademiya notices we'll get something." I smirked slyly at the idea.

I see Kaveh slightly blush when I said friends but who cares. Maybe he never considered me a friend.
"Always in it for something else..." Kaveh murmured.

After school me and Kaveh worked relentlessly and had a good time together.

"We deciphered... A total of! 21 pages!... That felt like forever and there is... 356 more..." I look at Kaveh surprised at the amount. My eyes widened.

"Good grief you write it down and I decipher it. You're lucky I agreed to help. This is about mechanics not languages. So I don't understand anything besides the words." I said as I saw how much Kaveh wrote and slightly laughed.

"Hey! Stop laughing." Kaveh looked at me angrily.

"What? I'm not laughing.i would never..." I smirked as I said that in a sarcastic tone.

"I swear! This project will be death me!" Kaveh sighed.

"Yeah, but that'd just mean you're not patient." I joked.

For the next few days the two of us worked hard, we would come early before the sun even said good morning to the world. We stayed up late Till the point that Lisa noticed we'd doze off while working. She gave us coffee since Kaveh begged for some since he kept basically dieing.

I would laugh at him everytime he'd fallen asleep on the paper he looked so pretty like a sleeping beauty. So I had to fix that.

One time he woke up and looked in the mirror at the school bathroom later realizing I had drawn a mustache on him. He had done that to me, so I simply laughed and said it made him look older. Let's just say he drew on some of my writing for a project.

"It was just a small accident~" Kaveh grinned as he looked at my homework which he had drawn on.

"Are you kidding..? It's due in two days. We'll have to stop working on this project-" I said but suddenly a girl popped out of nowhere.

"Hey, I've noticed you two studying together, mind if I join your project or something? I'm in Spantamad. I can help with the elemental parts of the papers and mechanisms." The girl said.

"Hm? Oh. Yeah sure!" Kaveh grinned. In my head I immediately thought. NO. but Kaveh being an extrovert...this was bound to happen.

More people joined in the next few days making it easier and faster but I felt as though they were too slow...and...
