It has been a week since Kate's casting and first rehearsal. Of course Lena was beyond proud of her. She knew she could do it. As she has been stating at this moment, in the coffee shop with Kara.
"She's a talented girl." Kara responded.
"She is."
"I am curious, is this her first show?"
"No. Back in our town, she was in Beauty and The Beast. Aladdin, and Shrek the Musical."
"Really? What parts?"
"Well, in her first show, Shrek, she was a Fairy Tale Creature. In the next one, Aladdin, she had various roles. But in Beauty and the Beast, she was Belle."
"Oooo. Perhaps she can get the lead role in the Spring Musical."
"Maybe. Anyway, enough about my family and Kate's past. Tell me more about yourself."
"Oh, no. I'm not that interesting."
"Nope. You are by far the most interesting person that I have ever met."
Kara's entire face went red as she choked on her coffee.
"Sorry."
"Don't be. You just caught me off guard. Are you sure you want to know more about me?"
"Darling, I always want to know more about you."
The redness deepened.
"Alright. Let's see. I actually used to live in Chicago before moving here."
"Really? How was it? And why move here?"
"Well both questions can be answered with one. It was nice because of my ex-girlfriend. And I moved here because of her."
"Do you mind me asking why?"
"No. It's in the past now. Well, my ex, Leslie Willis, she was my world. I loved her and she loved me. Or so I thought. But apparently I was wrong when I came to our apartment one night, and found her with one of my coworkers, Siobhan. I was heartbroken, I stayed at a friend's house for the next few nights. Called my sisters, they told me some horrific things they planned on doing to Leslie. And after some time to think it over, I resigned from the school I worked at and moved here. Closer to my sisters."
"Well, I am truly sorry that happened to you. No one deserves to go through that, especially someone amazing like you."
As she was telling her story, her blush subsided. But at that comment, it was back. At this point, Lena may or may not have been doing that on purpose.
"Thank you. Oh, would you look at the time. I better get to school. See you later, Lee."
Lena blushed a little at the newly given nickname.

Lena was sitting in her office when Jess called her.
"Jess?"
"Clark Kent is here to see you, ma'am."
"Send him up."
Lena was ready for this. The last time he came, it was more accusatorial than anything. But the thing frustrating her now was the story Kara told her.
"Ms. Luthor." Clark said as he came in.
"Mr. Kent. What can I do for you?"
"I was just seeing how things were going here."
"Great. Our numbers have been increasing nicely since I took over. We have started new projects to help people." Lena said, already trying to finish this interview.
